V12V time to sell?

(don’t know about Aston but I know of a couple of Porsche GT cars that sold for big discounts).
.
I’d be genuinely interest to know where from as I’m looking to move from my V12V at some stage soon. I’d like a new Vantage, but there is little hope of avoiding a weighty CTT, so looking at Cayman GT4 or 991 GT3. If Porsche dealers are giving discounts, grateful to know which dealership. PM me if you’d rather..

I just went from V12V to GT3RS (997). Didn’t feel like I got a discount. But pleased with the change.stormblack said:
Maybe about to purchase a Ferrari 488 but I think they are due a price correction. I have owned the V12 for 3 years- it was an amazing car but it's time for a change.
I sold my 488 last year as I prefer the Vantage! Different cars. Vantage is just more fun and easier to live with. Major Dalby said:
Hmmmm... I'm toying with the idea of buying (looking out for) a V12V manual.
Currently own a 2013 V8V SS2 which I absolutely love, even though all my cars since 1983 have been manual stick.
Decisions decisions...
Sadly, I am unlikely to ever be in the market for a V12V unless Ernie or the lottery intervenes but, like you, I have an SSII V8V which I chose over a manual car and have not regretted my decision. I think if I were in your position the question would come down to was the car bought to drive and to minimise any losses (or maximise potential gains) then it would be a manual (the 6- or 7-speed is a whole different discussion), for sheer driving enjoyment for me, at over 6' 3", it would have to be the dual-plate SSIII.Currently own a 2013 V8V SS2 which I absolutely love, even though all my cars since 1983 have been manual stick.

That's the thing! I actually think I'd enjoy both! I'm going to have to think about this a bit longer...
I’m lucky enough to own a 7 speed manual, have spent a day driving (hard) a paddle shift V12s at Millbrook with Aston Martin and have also had a drive of the original 6 speed manual V12.The truth is they are all epic.

I would have to agree! The paddle shift cars being great value imo.The truth is they are all epic.
I agree too.
The SS takes a little getting used to, but once you know what you're doing and what NOT to do (ie touch the D button), then it's great fun.
6 or 7, manual or SS........they're all the same V12 and make the same noises, so it's just horses for courses really.
You won't go far wrong with any of them though.

Yes I did Millbrook in a V12 Vantage S in 2016 with a friend of mine who had chosen a Vanquish. They’ve replaced them with the current range now.
I still have fond memories of the course, expensive but well worth it. We did a full day and got to lunch with the instructors. You learn a lot and are a better driver for sure at the end of the day.
We combined this with a factory and Works tour.
Steve Waddingham took us both round.
He’s so passionate and knowledgeable!
As said above, whatever the gearbox, they’re all great.
I’m in love with mine, SSIII is great once you get used to it and only use the paddles. Don’t use D and you’ll be fine.

I'd love a hoon round Millbrook - was that through Aston ?
Yes booked through Aston Martin. It’s expensive but I got a 2 for 1 deal as part of my V12s purchase. It’s a full day of one on one with an Aston driver in the (current) Aston of your choice. Back on topic, any variant of the V12V is a special car. As echoed elsewhere many times, drive one and you’ll invariably be hooked!
Best Regards
