Nicely chucked wallet, that man!
I just checked out the car, and it`s a pretty special spec for sure, black & red/red & black, always looks a mint combo in my opinion. Like pretty much everyone I could not live with the red exhaust tips though, and the speaker grills... maybe, as once in the car I don`t thnk they`d matter much, but great to have the stock option available.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

If you remove it from its normal position it folds in half and sits nicely on the floor of the boot, or you can leave it somewhere else of course. Adds a few db to the interior.

Thanks Phil! Some good tips there. I can’t believe the sound can be improved. It was intoxicating already so can’t imagine how good it sounds after a decat. Might ask the dealer if they could do this in advance.

The yellow looks amazing. They had a new Vantage there with yellow stitching and it looked stunning.

Really appreciate the tips and pointers - excited to be joining the V12S club smile
Yes, ask the dealer re the decat. It involves replacing the heavy secondary cats with straight through stainless pipes. I think the AM dealers use Larini? I had mine done at AM Cheltenham. Cost was about £680 I seem to remember.

Thanks!

Think I will definitely take them up on the speaker grilles back to black, then I think the spec is beautiful.

Interesting story as well…it has red infilled badges/wings on the front and back. Apparently these are reserved strictly for Zagato cars and yet they have found their way onto this car…

I need to check out if there is a V12VS owners club or forum for all of the follow up questions to come…such as should I rebadge the model designation? Have other owners bought a second set of wheels for winter use?

I have already booked the car in with Aston Installations for the Apple Car Play upgrade smile

I did see the badges. They look a bit purpley in the pics, rather than the pure red of Zagato wings, but it could just be the filter / processing of the picture. What's for sure is that AM factory would NOT supply Zagato badges on a non Zagato car even if you offered to pay for it. That said there is a pair on ebay right now for £140 so not really all that expensive to change if wanted. That red CF however is VERY pricey, especially if OEM original.

To be honest this place is pretty good for any such questions. Quite a few of us here with V12VS's.

Personal choice. I always prefer to have the proper badge on, but that said I think de-badged is ok too, as long as you don't have a badge making it pretend to be something its not - like say a GT12 wink

Ive only ever seen a couple of people buy the winter wheels. They are expensive, so maybe better to spend the cash elsewhere. I drive mine all day every day, except when there is heavy snow on the roads. Its a bit of a monster then, as you can imagine, but otherwise its just fine - HOWEVER this depends on the tyres you have. Do you have the PZero Corsa's fitted? If so then its a monster 80% of the year - they really are a summer only tyre. Best to get the std PZero's or even Mitchelin PS4S's - both of these are fine all year round really.

Oh and I agree - secondary decat is the way to go, and pull the exhaust fuse out too! If you think it sounds amazing now, then you really are in for a treat. Takes it up at least a couple of notches on the insane scale! smile

Enjoy...

Yeah the dealer said they are definitely Zagato badges likely bribed from the Works team by someone on the inside. The ashtray lid in the Center console is also signed by the “The Works - Newport Pagnell”

Didn’t check the tyres…believe they are Pirelli PZero’s so may swap them out when the time comes. Had Michelin PS4S on my M5 and they seemed to perform well in all weather to be fair.

& yeah - red carbon from factory. Can’t remember what the dealer said the list price was on this as an option, but it did make my eyes water!

Thanks again for all the responses and advice. 9 more sleeps!

Sounds like AM works have done a few of the mods then etc... like maybe the alcantara centre console. That's etiher AM Works mod's or a special Q item as definately not std at that model year. If the ashtray lid says AM works, then I guess that points to them. I do like a mix of Alcantara and leather inside - exactly what I specc'd on mine, albeit different bits in each.

Std P Zeros are just fine to be honest. No need to swap them until they are worn out. I swapped from P Zeros to MPS4S, and the PS4S is probably marginally better all round but not night and day different. They were however cheaper so I happy with them. I wouldnt be averse to going back to P Zeros however. Ive had Corsa's too and never again. Death traps in all but the hottest and driest of days!

Any excuse to post a picture.......but mine only has the AM wings, with black background, no V12 or Vantage S badges. I think it looks cleaner.

Haha thanks!

Yeah apparently Q have had their hands on this as a special order…

The mix of alcantara and leather inside is stunning, and the continuation of red carbon on the center console, door handles and paddles ties it to the outside wonderfully.

I’m just still trying to wrap my head around a decat and this beast sounding any better than it already does!

Love it with the yellow accents! Beautiful car smile

And yep, looks super clean without the badges. Might keep as is for now

Thanks! This is one of the better Youtube videos on the car. Certainly helped me with my buying decision back then.

Congratulations! Try driving it with the parcel shelf flat in the boot for a bit more noise. I removed fuse 15 on day one to keep the exhaust valves/flapsopen. Many fit a switch to do this. I’ve just not done it yet. Got a secondary decat three years ago.
I have the full performance pack (already fitted when I bought the car), which includes removal of the secondary cats. Regarding the opening of the flaps, mine open right through the rev range when I press the 'Sport' button. I think this is a feature of the performance pack, although not completely sure !?

Pretty sure that is not correct. I don't believe the sport button changes its behaviour with the full 595 powerkit.

The sport button opens the valves quite a bit MORE than normal, but they are not as open as they are with the fuse pulled out.

The 595bhp powerkit does however give you a full titanium exhaust which enhances the sound further across the whole rev range, and that's on top of the secondary cat delete, so the sound should be pretty epic anyway.

Try pulling the fuse out - I think you'll find it notches things up a tiny bit more. smile

So two more days to go until pick up!

The dealer has just finished the work painting the tail pipes back to black, alongside the speaker grilles.

I have also opted for the Larini decat which is being completed tomorrow ready for pick up Wednesday.

Pictures to follow - so excited smile

Today was the day!

Picked up the car around 10am from Dick Lovett Bristol. Made to feel very special with the car under wraps and then the big reveal. The service in Bristol was phenomenal!

Exhaust tips back to black, speaker grilles back to black and Larini decat all done! Sounds INCREDIBLE! Haven’t even pulled the fuse yet smile

I am blown away with the car. It was a bit damp on the way home, and you definitely need to be conscious about putting the power down…seems to like camber a bit and follows the road - proper switched on driving.

Love the automated manual gearbox - feels like I am learning to get the best out of the gearbox and I really like that.

Met a lovely chap called Chris at the dealership too who had a V12VS Manual Roadster in SkyFall Silver I believe - another stunning car!

The red carbon fibre looks black in the dark and then much brighter burgundy in the sunshine. Spec is awesome!

@Phil74891 - did you enquire with AM Bristol re getting your car and this one together for a photo as the only two Nero Daytona V12S together? They said someone had enquired about it…

Be happy to meet up at some point - next stop AMOC smile

Thanks for all the advice guys - so happy with the car!!
