I hadn't realised you'd left the Cambridge area.

I had a couple of very happy years living in Germany in the mid 90's. Great quality of life generally. I hope it goes well for you too.
Thanks AZ smile

Yes, I left the UK last year, decided to sell my Vantage then kind of regretted it. Am happy now the wheel is on the correct side, will make life easier.

BTW if anyone is driving close to or through the Black Forest, let me know, as that's where I live. I'm up for heading down to the Alps, too, if there's a convoy going. Oh, and I would like to attend Le Mans smile

I had an amazing, and crazy day today. I am "finally" back in a V8 Vantage, now here in Germany. My mission, was to collect the car from its current (now previous!!) owner in Mannheim, some 2 hours away. However, the vendor has quite a fun hobby, and thought it might be a nice idea to bring me to the car...

For those of you on Instagram, there are a couple of videos from the day here: https://t.ly/3vg77

Amazing...!

Then, hopped into the car (wheel on wrong side obv) and drove back home on the derestricted Autobahn. Managed 250 kph, which is the fastest I have been in a Vantage, so that was nice smile

2007 Tungsten... MANUAL

Thread/review/pics/mods etc all to come and be posted here. So pleased to be back!! biggrin
Great, super nice anecdote to tell in the future!

Up over Hartside to Keswick, drove up Borrowdale to go for a walk and swim in Black Moss Pot , back into Keswick for a wander about and a bite to eat.

A very quick run back to get home along the A66 / A1 , car is now covered in dead flies , wheels in brake dust.

I know what I’m doing tomorrow.....

Sounds like a great day. Did you do the jump from the high side into Black Moss Pot? Must be 25 years since I've done that but great fun smile

Ha ha , never done it for years from the top.

Looking at the inlet, i jumped from the rock on the right hand side , I shouldn’t be surprised but it was bloody freezing , swam two lengths and got out , should have done it again with hindsight.

Left there walked further up the valley to the bridge then returned on the high side back to stonethwaite.

An absolutely superb day there today, the type of day you wish you were stopping over.

And a cracking blast out ...

Oh they are like a truck when u pack them up

we just had two weeks away in the V8, did 4100km, went to the Victorian Alps, sought out some great driving roads, a weekend in vineyard country at Rutherglen, a few days in Melbourne and a drive back, found some delightful country accommodation and made it home all in one piece

Car did 11.2L/100km (around 25mpg) including all terrain, city & country and we averaged 83km/hr

just love these cars

Attended an all-British car show put on by the local Jag club; perfect day, but perhaps a bit warm for late September (84F). Only two other Astons (early Vanq and a late DB9).

You would possibly do much better putting it in the for sale section, putting it in here is much like trying to sell a freezer to an Eskimo.

I'm off to the Ring with a pal in my V12S on the 29th but we are heading to Stuttgart and then the Black forest for a couple of nights before returning back to the UK...any roads/place of interest you would recommend in the Black forest as we aim to have full day driving around on Oct 4th cheers!

A used Vanquish tepresents very good value for money.
I personally think they look better than the new DBS Superleggera and last of the NA V12.
What's not to like?
