So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
Not ‘done’ anything but booked something to be done. Chassis: Bilstein conversion, thicker stiffening plates, anti roll bar and new upper wishbones. Engine: primary cat delete and 200 cell high flow secondaries. £10k plus change. Better be worth it.
Going into Bamford Rose second week February. Best get saving.

I've been very ill for a while now, and had to spent the past week in hospital.
Today I managed to go for my first drive in months and oh it was wonderful!
I remember now how good life can be, and how incredibly fortunate we are to be able to enjoy such cars.
Be well
Neil

It`s a rear wheel drive with lots of power so you can get into all sorts of grief, but if you treat the accelerator wisely it is like any other car on snow. Of course it depends a lot on your tyres. In my experience, if you`re on racey, minimal tread-pattern summer rubber you are going to struggle to go in a straight line, let alone around corners. On Sottozeros or similar, it`s totally manageable.
Of course the new Aston Martin anti-gravity system is the real answer here...
Guess what, I tested it today. I needed to get 30 kms from Milan and it was raining here. At some point after 20ish kms, the Polizia Stradale closed the highway for snow. It was in fact snowing there. I had to turn around and in 3rd/4th, Comfort mode for a sleepier accelerator, 50 km/h... the car was not going very straight, the stability control kicked in at the slightest thought of touching the gas pedal. Of course the new Aston Martin anti-gravity system is the real answer here...
To be fair I am on the summer Bridgestone on their last leg.
Not today, but yesterday. Dropped my V12VS at AM Cambridge for its annual service, MoT and upgrade to AMi iii, plus a few warranty annoyances.
Whilst I'm very much looking forward to getting it back, the invoice will be a bit heavy. Best get a few more miles under its belt in 2021, make the most of the, er, investment.

Well my advice would be to join a car club (if you're not already a member).I've been a member of Supercar Driver for the last 2 years and it's great. The drives, the events, the people, fantastic. Next year I'm booked onto their Isle of Man tour in July and I can't wait. Might have to try to recreate the original Top Gear test of the Vantage on the mountain road there in some way. SCD is more about driving events than static events but it does both and I like mixing it with other great cars from other manufacturers too.
I sold (part exchanged my V8 Vantage at Liverpool (Inchcape) Mercedes. It will be going to auction next week apparently. Nothing wrong with the car just unable to use it due to working away. However, if somebody wants a decent and very cheap V8 Vantage in a nice colour (Sapphire blue/ sandstone leather) this may be the one. Nice marque related plate also.

Collected after PPF, de-plinthed, lighter shade on the wheels, 11mm spacers on the rear and Dynax treatment to the rear subframe.
I went the other way, from light wheels like yours to these but otherwise our cars look similar!I think the AMR wheels look better in black, but the standard wheels are much better lighter....
