So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)

Nice - is that a black roof I spy? Was tempted to do the same and may still do (mainly as I have items placed precariously above my car in the garage!)
It is a trick of the light I am afraid.I was very tempted to get a carbon or black wrap on the roof (the whole car is PPF'd already) but then my Dad pulled a face at me and I realised that they are best left as nature intended (aside from the AMR wheels and secondary decat of course).
I don't think black paint or wrap will protect your car from a hammer falling off a shelf or a bike landing on it though ;-) I bought the AM cover for that, soft cloth and nice V12 Vantage S stitching on the side.

Against the white and with the black on the boot lid that really works.
Yes agreed - I’m also looking at the window surrounds, which I may need to attend to on mine in the same darker shade as the wheels. Unsure then if a black roof would work. No biggie, and no rush.cornershop said:

Lovely!
What spacers? I wish the wheels generally filled the arches more. So disappointing.
Thanks H&R - I bought used at £150, they’re normally 280-300 new. What spacers? I wish the wheels generally filled the arches more. So disappointing.
Saw another company mentioned on FB, that are much cheaper but unsure on quality.

That just so works and harmonises everything. Still, still pondering it for my Rapide - an easy 'mistake' to remove if so!yellow_tang said:
What did I do with my Aston Martin today? I got it very very dirty!
At the risk of derailing this thread (and if I interpret your profile correctly) I see you've gone from a V12V to a new Vantage. As many PH'ers revere the V12V what's your impression of the two? If you've covered this elsewhere then just point me at the threadedited to remove spurious comma that emerged, unbidden, mid-word

Took my Vantage in for it's MOT today, its never, ever thrown an error - until during the MOT when the TPMS light came on, luckily only an advisory, but talk about timing! Naturually I drove 300 meters and it cleared
I'm 100 miles into fresh PS4S tyres, which are life changing coming off the Bridgestones - much calmer ride, loads more grip and more comfortable. £710 all-around, bargain I think!
Winter detail session booked on Monday to keep it looking tip-top over winter. Still very pleased with how a 13 year old "high" mileage car (55k) is holding up - with the Sat Nav stowed, no rattles, squeaks or the like at all.

Worth having a quick read of this....especially the 'Quirks' section https://aston1936.com/2020/05/17/understanding-the...
I might have dreamed it but I think someone successfully overturned an 'advisory for that very reason.
Nothing, because it's stuck with the MD for its annual service, MoT and AMi iii upgrade and while there the gearbox ECU has forgotten its settings and filled itself with fault codes, reasons unknown. The investigations continue.
I'm also interested in yellow_tang's thoughts on the new Vantage vs V!2V.
