I made some cosmetic changes to my car today purely for vanity purposes. The CF slam panel looks fantastic and was very easy to fit. I had some minor snags with the CF gear lever surround but I got there in the end. I’ve never really liked the standard metal item and I think the CF one looks much better. The final job is to fit CF side strakes and new black meshes. My hands are too big to do it myself as it’s a very awkward job, so I’ve asked Grange Brentwood to do it for me next week when my car goes in for a service and MOT. Thanks to Michal and Irmina at ECPS for the CF parts, and to Tony for the new inspection plate. I’ve included some before and after pictures.

Best Regards

I quite like the slam panel and getting my name on the inspection plate. I think your post may have cost me some money.
Lol. Sorry RP! I think the slam panel is a work of art. Very high quality item and it really does make a difference in the engine bay. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. And the new inspection plate from Tony rounded it off nicely too.

Sold the V12V - collected today

Might consider a V8V replacement, maybe an early R8

Perhaps a sad day. Hope you enjoyed your V12V.

When you become a fully paid-up Audi driver, please don't follow me to closely. Makes me nervous, which I do know is the tactic. - wink

Ah yes, I forgot those connotations smile

Liked but not loved - I saw a e92 M3 on the weekend and much preferred the drive, noise etc. A shame they are still being stolen, I can do without the attention.

Lots more cars to try!

Service time - excellent, friendly service as always from Aston Martin Newcastle. Prime parking position for collection time too!

The best colour (I would say that). Aston E seem good value for servicing.

Cheers chap - fair bit cropped up on the PPI.

No emotions/regret in letting it go, must have made the right decision.

Next car will be a chunk cheaper, less mileage sensitive, and give me some engine/intake noise!

Can’t grumble, dropped off first thing, picked up at 4, sensibly serviced, oil changed, but other fluids tested, if they are within tolerance they are left, no point waste fully changing/charging for things that don’t need replacing, door strut changed at the same time and actually billed LESS than quoted by quite a bit, and only half an hour away for me. driving

I'll be popping over in the morning to collect mine.

Service, stonechips to bumper and rear arhces sorted and also door handle/door base corrosion. I'm expecting a suitably large bill.......

Mine has been out of action for four and a half months after getting warranty work done and them doing something to the manifold breathers.

So today I enquired (as I do every week) when the parts are arriving from AM

Same answer as every other week

Starting to get very annoyed

Used my second Covid jab as an excuse for a run out in mine today (and got a wave from another AM heading in the opposite direction on the way back).

That's a very frustrating wait Graze. This is one of my concerns with owning an AM in Australia. I had a similar issue with Lotus once...long wait time for parts from the UK. I assume COVID hasn't made the situation better.

little I can do about it

they lent me a DB11AMR for 3 days and 850km of extreme fun, but I'm contemplating negotiating a couple of years free servicing when they do finally fix it

got bored driving my RS5 daily (poor me!) so bought this to distract me and its a hoot

not a V12V but at less than half the price its a great ride - the noise is sublime from the 5 litre supercharged V8

Last weekend, in between the showers. A trip to the workshop to work on the race car, with a couple of stops.

330 or so miles covered between Saturday and Sunday. The weather was a mix of fine and terrible, so hideous needs a wash and polish prior to year #4 service in a few weeks.

Congrats. I've heard the Jag R in person and it does sound superb!

I collected my car today from Grange Brentwood after its annual service and MOT. While it was with them I asked them to fit the CF side strakes for me, and some new black side meshes too. I think they look rather lovely. A great job from the whole team at Brentwood as usual, and it was great to catch up for a chat with Garry Gayle. We haven’t seen each other for ages. He was looking very well and has been incredibly busy which is very good news. They had two very nice new Vantages and a DBX on show, but I’m holding on to mine for now.

Best Regards

Got up early and washed my onyx black beauty before the sun broke through the clouds.

The paintwork was perfect for a few glorious moments. Oh well.
