So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
The wheels are actually a dark grey (graphite on the options). I'll post a detail shot when next out with the car. Funnily enough multi spoke wheels was something I wanted to avoid as I hate cleaning them, but I was willing to compromise my ideal spec as they looked so good on the car in the showroom !!
Got back from Sardegna!
But before that, MisterBlu and I went to the Lago Maggiore to visit an old school independent mechanic. He was specialised in Ferrari and Porsche, but we started to inquire if he could also work on AM. If so, he could very well become the first Italian independent AM shop!
For the trip, we also switched our cars, so I got to try how is life with a 4.3 Roadster, while he tested out my 4.7 with a firmer ride, since I have the Sport Pack as part of the N420 mods.
A great day!

Looks amazing EVR!
Unfortunately, my heart is somewhat broken, as someone has had the shame and malice to steal my front and rear badges.
It's really upset me, but at the end of the day it's badges, the car is fine (no scratches, even) and I have my health, but come on
I don't suppose anyone here has a spare set for sale etc?
"This is why we can't have nice things..." etc

Ohh sorry to hear that. Whereabouts in the UK are you - I've not heard of badge thefts for many years now, I thought that craze was well and truly over.Unfortunately, my heart is somewhat broken, as someone has had the shame and malice to steal my front and rear badges.

On the plus side, they are nowhere near as expensive as you might think, probably only £100 or so each and thats the new price, so it could have been far worse. Even a small scratch would have cost more than a pair will, and very easy to fit yourself.

At least you can take some solace in the fact that that is probably the closest that 'individual' is ever going to get to owning an Aston and, as a result, your life is likely to be immeasurably better than theirs.
Whoever took them is a thieving scumbag not an “individual “.Why you’d get solace because your life is immeasurably better than a thief is beyond me.
What a strange post.

Hi Buster. I'm putting it into perspective. Having the badge stolen off your Aston Martin stolen isn't great, but in the grand scheme of things, it could be worse - you could be the one going around stealing Aston Martin badges, you could even be a "thieving scumbag"! Knowing that would certainly give me some comfort, and it may comfort the OP or pick him/her up, or not, but look if it's beyond you then I wouldn't worry, it's only the internet. Why you’d get solace because your life is immeasurably better than a thief is beyond me.
What a strange post.

This respray lark is becoming tedious now. After discovering the badly corroded door cheater panels (mentioned previously) I ordered a pair from AM. Except the driver's side is not available. So a trip to the body shop - 36 miles each way - to collect the old one and repair as best I could for the time being. The new passenger side one came from AM so took that to the body shop.
Then I get a call to say the new one does not fit and we cannot get it to fit at all. So another trip to said body shop and see the problem. Hmmm...... So they give me the old one and I take it home to repair before going back again. They fit it while I wait and it goes on perfectly.
So with any luck the car should be ready this week. I will have a go at fettling the new one after I've refitted the front undertray and the wing strakes. I think they were afraid of damaging it as they knew how much it cost.

I'm in south Germany, to answer the question as to where in the UK.
Oh, that's interesting. Firstly because I never associated Germany with that sort of behaviour and secondly because your profile gives your Country as "UK".Tough break about the badges. I wonder what the sub-human who stole them is going to do with them - stick them on his Opel Kadett? I refuse to believe it could be a fellow Aston owner.

Looking beautiful, geresey.
This is only my own opinion, so certainly not a criticism.
I feel it is a pity that we can often not see any details of black wheels in photographs.
The wheel and tyre blend together.
Silver colours do tend to look prominent when photographed.
However, black wheels do have a great stealth look though.
Wonderful UK weather now, for Roadster and Volante owners. Enjoy.
RE other recent posts, so many scum around these days... . Only a few roads away 3 or 4 cars parked in the road had tyres slashed overnight recently.
