Regarding the ACF 50. I've just got some, mainly for my Alfa but thinking of spraying some around the AM too.
Do you leave on as it lands or wipe most of the excess off? I'm thinking splash it about. Can't hurt apart from a bit of smell maybe.

Thanks. Used it again today. Does work well on the plastics too. Kind of like a long lasting back to black.
Need to get some on the AM now I've tried it on the Alfa
Had the secondary cats removed by Aston Martin on my v8 Vantage, so there won't be any warranty concerns. All I can say is WOW! The car sounds soooo much better, not that it didn't sound great before mind you. Really happy with it now! And the noise seems to have had a placebo effect on me, because the car seems slightly more responsive now. The great thing is that when you don't want to be loud, turn Sports mode off, and the car is as quiet as it was before - especially important on the motorway!
For anyone else considering this, as an FYI, the aston martin straight through pipes are actually a GT8 part, which is why some dealers are not aware this part exists for the standard v8.

They had a placebo effect on me too. Not only is the car more responsive, but I'm also a better driver and more good looking. That's interesting regards switching between sports mode for quite running, are you a 4.3 or 4.7 v8?For anyone else considering this, as an FYI, the aston martin straight through pipes are actually a GT8 part, which is why some dealers are not aware this part exists for the standard v8.
What kind of money did Aston dealer charge you for this?

it is an AMR, which means it is basically a 4.7 v8 S. They charged me around 800, but I know that aston martin bristol can do it for a little cheaper. They also gave me my remove secondary cats, so I can technically sell them and make a big chunk of that back. What kind of money did Aston dealer charge you for this?

Any mention on MOT? Some other notes about decat:
- Tell your insurance otherwise you may not be covered!
- I kept my original secondary cats in case the law changes or it gets chopped-in for a V12S/DBSS/Zagato/Vulcan/F1/other dream
- There’s a notable difference to a decat applied to an S and non-S 4.7 Vantage due to the standard sports back box on the S. The S is quite a bit louder but the non-S has a deeper and very nice ‘Murican V8 burble which has appealing.
- The decat is very social below valve-opening revs (which is lowered to 3.5k RPM in sport mode).
Enjoy!
