So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)
Discussion
Waved goodbye as the new owner James started his 4 hr journey home.
Must admit, I was a little moist of eye and certainly envious of his drive home.
It’s been a very enjoyable journey getting it to the condition it left in and glad it’s gone to someone who is as excited as I was when I first picked it up.
Happy days

also funny that number plate, bet he gets a great Voyage home (thats what I saw in that numberplate :-))
Car went into the detailers yesterday lunchtime and he spent the whole afternoon washing it.
He started the detailing work today and his attention to detail is amazing The silver wheel nuts are being replaced with black ones, the chrome on the side strakes had started to pit quite badly so they're being painted black. The guy doing the painting to them is also a good mate and again, the attention to detail is fascinating to see these days. The secondary cat delete pipes will also be going on.
The detailer is wet sanding part of the nearside rear quarter as he isn't too happy with the paint finish to that bit.
Should be ready to come out of his unit by Friday evening.

I left the DBX in the drive for the weekend and went to Bologna. A group of us took 17 classic cars on a trip out into the hills to a vineyard for lunch. Since there was no chance of getting me into a 50s or 60s Fiat or Alfa I ended up with a 70s Renault 15 ! Bit of a contrast to the Aston but made you appreciate the features of a modern car - in particular the air conditioning, it was very hot morning. Great day out though.
