Perhaps being a main dealer, were you possibly anticipating a charge, for them to give you your own property. - wink
haha! indeed! they actually asked if I wanted them to dispose of the cats... I replied politely that I wanted them!

Enjoy!
Are these arranged in order of want? Or decreasing likelihood? I would replace the vulcan with a CGT personally, but I suppose I could live with a vulcan... getting in and out is a right chore though!

Any mention on MOT?
Primary cats do most of the work - secondaries help a bit as those get up to temp I believe. On a Rainforest friendly scale due to no MOT issues its a no brainer!

A bit of exercise for me (gym) and Aston (to and from on some nice country roads).

Jacked up front near side with recently purchased low level jack... couldn’t get newly acquired ice hockey puck in so used ply... loosened wheel nuts first with recently purchased 22mm socket and recently purchased sooper dooper torque wrench.. removed wheel and checked exposed bits.. steering and suspension.. all looks ok smile

Put wheel (with very flat burst tyre) back on with timber under so jack will go under next time with puck.. went indoors, warmed up with coffee then ordered two new Conti’s for front from black circles.. should be here Friday.. will order two new rears once fronts done... Mot expires Friday... next job immediately after new tyres is new rear discs and pads.. low level jack is awesome smile

Like I previously mentioned theres some new MOT rule which apparently if any of the original emission system is altered its MOT failed..

I will have it done next service, probably have it MOT'd first then serviced + the removal pipe installed.

It always makes me think of Elwood Blues, as in Jake & Elwood Blues, aka The Blues Brothers.

I wonder what the actual inspiration was.

Definitely a list of decreasing possibilities.

The F1 will always remain the pinnacle of automotive lust (to me, at least). But I doubt I could live without assisted breaks and lack of any active safety systems with such power!

In reality, it’s a car’s width that really limits the real world choice for me. I love exploring the country lanes and Welsh roads which are all nearby. The previous Vantage is perfect as it’s so compact. Even a V12 may not be ideal due to more slippery roads than in urban areas.

Still very happy with the V8. There’s currently only one V12 that’s been on sale for over a year that’s tempt me out of it, but even after a recent price drop, it’s still way overpriced IMHO.

Today? Round trip to Halford for the Vantage to be looked over by Mike and his good people. Very pleased with my first service experience with this car - some good tips for easy modifications to make it even better.

Took deposit on sale of my 07 V8VM

Sad day but it's been a great car over last 3 and half years and nearly 60,000km - lots of great memories

Gone to a good guy who will look after it,

Means I have a spare set of V12V wheels and spacers to suit a V8V if anyone's interested - as featured in June 2020 calendar courtesy ot Gerry

Still got the V12V

Now off looking for a Land Rover Evoque for Mrs Graze and I'll take on the Cooper S as a DD for a while

New Contis fitted Monday, MOT this morning, all good, will be ordering new rear discs and pads this afternoon. Somewhat dismayed I’ve covered less than 100 miles a month in the last 12 frown

Just a suggestion but have you considered joining SCD (Supercar Driver). I joined at the beginning of the year and it's been great. Loads of events - Drives, Track days, Meets etc., really well organised, nice variety of cars and owners. Really good if you like driving your car rather than just looking at it in a field but I think they do some of those events too.
