So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)

Not had any issues re the brakes - I only use decent stuff, not acid wheel cleaners. What you heard / read? Any links?
How are you supposed to clean your car, wheels, etc if the discs are so sensitive to products?
Difficult to find definitive info on the subject . Certainly I’ve seen a lot of comments from carbon brake companies saying you shouldn’t use “soaps” How are you supposed to clean your car, wheels, etc if the discs are so sensitive to products?
My wheels never get very dirty so I just use a mitt on them , so nothing on the brakes . I’ve seen some people use covers on the wheels and tyres when they clean the paintwork . Others seem to just spray foam everywhere !!
Be careful when we say snow foams not to get confused with TFR's.
Most snow foams are generally around pH neutral once diluted so should not damage anything, that being said we mention acid, but alkali is another issue.
You should be able to use any product diluted without risk. Most APC's within reason you can use around carbon ceramics without risk once diluted. That being said if you are being ultra cautious then shampoo and water is your best bet. Also with no to minimal brake dust build up you should have far less issues.
Even the recent steels though need you to avoid using heavy acidic or alkali cleaners, otherwise you get the squeaking (plus if not used in a spirited manner now and again).

Picked the car up from the dealer, after having a new clutch fitted. Also had it serviced, a little early but I wanted the service and MOT aligned for next year.
So the clutch is brand new, just serviced, all the little niggles now sorted out, just crossed over 50k miles, 11 weeks into ownership and totally skint!!!! I keep saying its like having a mistress
Luckily, as my wife says, it's the only thing that makes me smile, and that she says is priceless.

Tried the sport button today for the first time. Blimey it’s like night and day!!!
It’s like in Mad Max when he turns that turbo thing on in that interceptor car
So if you have the V12 and that button on, my hat off to you cause I think I would be in a ditch before you could say ‘oh st!’

I find that without the sport button, not much happens. 450bhp tucked away in a cupboard somewhere. Press the sport button and then it starts to work a bit better. But then I unpress it to save petrol... It’s like in Mad Max when he turns that turbo thing on in that interceptor car
