Went on a visit to the MTC. Very cool indeed. So much racing history and the rapid rise of the road car business. Great day out.

Yes they are! You do know it'll go in the back too, don't you? Are the drop-outs on your Canyon's forks alloy or are you happy clamping carbon drop-outs (as some say you shouldn't)? Sorry to the bike-hater sub-forum for the bike speak.

Love it as a retired bike nut

Are the suction caps rated to 300km/hr?

I actually did not know the bike would fit in the back, amazing! The drop outs are carbon - a mate has ran this setup for a couple of years with no issue and i pretty much "screw up" the fork fitting (dont use the clamp) so it doesn't feel like pressure is applied. Happy to take the risk!

Handed it over to AM Nottingham for this bubbling (and several other bits) to be repaired by Chartwells. For one bit by the mirror arm on the same door it is the third time that it has bubbled so they say they may need to put a new door on it. Not sure when I'm going to see my much loved Vantage again frown

Interested in the cills and rear wings Steve as those are composite and steel respectively rather than the aluminium panels that bubbling usually affects. Is it bubbling in those areas or something else?

Busted a gut to get a couple of MOTs. Vantage is parked safely in its tent behind the DBS,

which is behind the tractor mower,

which had a flat battery,

and then as soon as started ran out of fuel,

and then Tracker phoned 'cause the battery in the fob is flat.

the rear wings in front of the back wheels were pot marked, and they are also replacing the ppf film

That makes sense now Steve. Mine's having the front corners of the bonnet done so they are putting new PPF on there (and anywhere else they need to blow in to for that matter). Quite happy about that as the bonnet film has a few bits where its self-healing ability has been overcome by rocks thrown at it on drives biggrin

Hi Pete,
Just got similar kind of bubble on the actual handle below the two leds. Can only just see it when you look close, but was disappointed as only 2.5 years old. AM said they would sort it on warranty when in for service, but seems like this is common and recurring which is a worry.

I have them too, under the driver's handle. It's good news knowing in the UK those are fixed under warranty, hopefully it will be the same here in Italy, my 10 years rust & paint warranty expires in September 2020.

10 Years that's good EVR, hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction.
Must be all the salt they put on the roads here in Scotland.

I really think it’s pot luck, my 2010 car was used as a daily for the first year and under my 5 years of ownership lived outside April-October and never showed any signs of corrosion. Friend has a mint 6 year old coupe that is only used in the summer and has had several areas repaired already.

Yesterday I took my V12VS to get a new set of boots. Michelin PS4Ss and, for a treat, a four-wheel alignment. The initial Hunter report was a total mess - cross-eyed, bandy-legged and one leg loads shorter than the other. The ‘after’ report is spot-on, and what a transformation. The car rides better, turns better and doesn’t slither around like a fool. Incredible, and a huge thanks to Elite Tyres in Rainham.

PZeros. In fairness to them, they were terrific in the warm and dry, but they were also the originals and past their best.
