Apparently, PS4S don't like a bootfull of throttle in really heavy rain.
I've always had top-end tyres on all my cars, even sheds. My previous car was a 150bhp Alfa GT diesel running on Uniroyal Rainsports in summer and Dunlop winters when it got cold. It was pretty much unstoppable in any weather.
Going sideways NOT on demand isn't much fun, so the Alfa would probably have been faster today. One to watch for in the future, as I get used to RWD again...

Check the pressures on them mine did similar in heavy rain not long after getting it and there was quite a large difference in cold tyre pressurein a straight line...
