Was wondering if anyone has driven their Aston along the North Coast 500 in Scotland? Considering doing it maybe this September over 8 days or so.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Not personally (I think it can get quite busy), but plenty do. OTR do an organised tour of it every year and there are some good reviews on their siteAnyone got any thoughts?

Yes did it 2 years ago in my V12S Vantage, go east to west, west is much more dramatic. Eight days is about right but you will also miss a lot, book in advance as does get busy. you get a real mix of hotels/pubs etc. September may be mad for midges so plenty of spray.Anyone got any thoughts?
enjoy

Thanks Steve. I was hoping by September it would be less busy and maybe the possibility of a bit of sunshine rather than rain! I have heard about the midges and they do tend to like me!!! Maybe extend it to 10 days. Will be travelling up from London, enjoy

Looks much better to me.
This replaces my 2007 Vantage that I put 141,600 miles on. Getting older, 6'3" tall, more comfortable, easier to get in and out of, not as much fun as Vantage, never thought the VH cars could be beat until I had them side by side. Just felt the nose was weak on the DB11 compared to previous Astons. Always loved the DBS grille but all I could afford was the grille. First ever attempt at any type of bodywork and thrilled with the result. Michal Pastryk of ECPS is putting a similar conversion kit together. I feel it adds a boldness to the look. As much as I liked the DB11 before, I don't think I could go back unless the new front end flies off at triple digits. Hope to put on about 10,000 miles per year and hit 150,000 total, God willing!Charliefore said:

Sold my V12 DB11. No dealers really wanted it despite being heavily loaded, low miles, Full AM service history and still had AM warranty. Fed up of potholes, flooding, avoiding idiot drivers and my insurance company declining to renew (plus silly prices from others). Due to the above I haven’t enjoyed driving her recently.
I’ll miss her as she was a superb car; in fact one of the best cars I’ve had.

Break in the weather allowed me to fit the AM Upgrades headlamp venting kit to my Vantage. 2 hours in total, as I spent some time routing the cables neatly and placing the temperature sensor out of sight.
Fitting was really straightforward, if a little messy at the end, due to having to seal the wheel arch access hatch with silicone sealant.
However, the standout aspect for me was the attention to detail of the kit. As well as the truly excellent instruction manual (full-colour, ring-bound A4 booklet), each component was in a labelled bag. Even the extra washer and nuts are stainless.
After a nasty drive on Thursday evening in pouring rain, I found my headlamps were so fogged up that the beam was almost invisible on the road - hopefully a thing of the past now….
Break in the weather didn’t last long - started to rain again, just as I was torquing up the wheel bolts.
