Great music choice - one of my favourite all time albums cool
Great that someone remembers! beer I like this particular track very much as it is the slightly slower and therefore perhaps more harmonious extended mix (= B-side of the "Rio" 12inch) of the arguably a bit oversped 7'' single version - purely personal preference, of course!

Short of machine polishing any of you guys got any ‘home’ fixes that might help?
TIA,

Richard, I managed to dig out this old thread which contains astonishing (to put it mildly) information on the subject of paintwork marks caused by bird droppings:
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

It seems there might be a chance the marks will vanish again all by themselves under certain circumstances? Please read from BigMig´s post on this. I have no idea if this works, but as I said: Aston-ishing.

My Own Way - I remember buying the 7” in ‘82. Like an Angel on the B side, which is a great song that no one’s heard of.

Incidentally Roger Taylor has a new shape Vantage.

I've loved Duran Duran since the 80s. Roger, Simon and John have had quite a few Astons in their time.

John currently has a DB9,

and Roger had/has a DB11 Volante.

Simon had a V8 Zagato Volante

John also had a lovely V8

And a DB5

Nice, thanks.

How is the light temperature at night? More white or blue? Can I ask you a picture at night if it's not too much trouble?

Cheers mate.

Took my V12 vantage in for its 10 year service at a main dealer. I see a lot of negative press on here re them. I was really impressed. The levels they had gone too to protect me and there staff was amazing. I asked about a few niggles i was having with the car, all of which were looked at and solved at no cost. Nothing major, just things like the passenger door being a bit heavy. Other than that for a 10 year old car she is in remarkable shape. Also nice to take her out for a drive.

I fitted a set to my car today. Will report back as soon as I can on how they look at night time. They are a real pain to fit though. Does everyone who works in the AM factory have very tiny hands?! I took the number plate off just to free up a little extra wriggle room.

Best Regards

What a coincidence, also took back the N420 from my very first service since I have it, at AM Milano. Nice guys and honest, 3 days, around 1400€ with extras being both door struts, a 70€ ozone hygienisation of the cabin and pretty much it. Without extras, it would have been around 1k €.

Air filters were not deemed necessary, same for wipers; wipers that Maserati (Charles Pozzi in Paris & Rossocorsa in Milano) thought necessary EVERY. SINGLE. TIME, even when specified not to. biggrin

While they insisted for the cabin filters, it would have been a shame leaving the old ones with the hygenisation. Fair enough, 60€ both, even if I know it is a Mazda part around 20€.

Car has 36k kms now, battery is in perfect shape despite Covid stop.

Wow, that price structure sounds VERY competitive in Europe for 36,000 km! Well done. But beware of the air filters: You will have noticed the increasing number of other owners´ (and certain independents biggrin) complaints about main dealers not changing the air filters - justified or not given the official maintenance scheme. Try to find out if and when they were last changed and go from there. But perhaps you already have.

Thanks for the tip! They have been changed exactly 1 year ago, by AM Brussels, during the service at 27k kms prior to me buying the car.

Got mine booked in for its 10k service at HWM.

They’re collecting the car from storage in Fleet. I was hoping they’d bring out the Flying Technician but alas they need to have the car overnight to check coolant levels post flush.

Got a paint bubble to be explored on the bonnet, just about inside the 10 year warranty period
