So what have you done with your Aston today? (Vol. 2)

My Vantage went to AM Nottingham last week to have new air con condensor and oil breather hose and to have corrosion on passenger door fixed. Luckily the paint is under warranty.
While it was there I also asked them to look at the exhaust valves as they were not working. Faulty switch has been replaced and they managed to reset my seats so memory 1 button works which no matter how many resets I tried I could not sort.
While its been gone a satin finish carbon fibre slam panel arrived and I love it! It will match my satin carbon door sills. Opted for satin over gloss for "internal" pieces, thought it looked a bit more modern, like the innards of Mclarens etc.
Beautiful! Can I ask where you got these? While it was there I also asked them to look at the exhaust valves as they were not working. Faulty switch has been replaced and they managed to reset my seats so memory 1 button works which no matter how many resets I tried I could not sort.

Thanks
Chris.
All the parts came from ECPS in Poland. They make parts for Astons, Ferraris, Lambos etc and are amazing.
The sills were around £400 (think they are a bit less if you go for gloss)
I'll get you an email address if you like but its this company:

Michal Pastryk does some lovely stuff, on my Storn Black V12V i had red carbon from him, on my Stratos White V12S i am going forged, not everybodies taste but will be fitted next week by AM Bristol
Hi Steve, I rather like the forged look - it makes a change from the ubiquitous carbon fibre mesh. Can't wait to see it on the car at Beaulieu next month.
Rob
Finally picked my manual V12 Vantage S Manual from AM Newcastle after more than 18 weeks.
It was in for a replacement battery and a service just before lockdown, then during lockdown I broke my ankle. I was given clearance to drive again last week and today was the first day I could get there.
I took the opportunity to have a quick runout into the wilds of Northumberland
The car is now safely stored in the garage.

It must have been because I drove it in the rain.
Brought my V12VSM to the Highlands. A 1,400 mile round trip, what have I done to the value? ;-)
Was in total despair after 2 hours on the A9 with caravanettes but then found the A836 from Bonar Bridge to Lairg and all was forgiven.
Thought I was a quick driver then a local Taxi driver in a 15 year old Vauxhall set me straight (mind you his definition of a safe overtake needs some work).
A couple of Munro’s in the next two days then back home again via the borders (some more great driving roads there too).
I love this car..... We did a similar trip in my 488 GTB last year and had half the fun going 20% faster (the 488 is now sold).

Yep, locals in Islands and Highlands all seem to think they are Colin McRae. Got passed by a BT van on Skye last year, he must have been doing three figures, but preferable to being stuck behind a caravan. Was in total despair after 2 hours on the A9 with caravanettes but then found the A836 from Bonar Bridge to Lairg and all was forgiven.

Some great roads in the boarders, have a regular run from Livingston to Peebles, so much fun and never busy. Watch for the occasional speed traps and roads to the east with fixed cameras.
