Well my Porsche tech (2018) wont even rip a CD to the built in HDD (sic - not allowed) and wont let me use my data connection for err data connections to free sites - even though it has let me put a data SIM in and accepted it as a valid data connection (they later blocked this data connection to free sites remotely and held out their handmad...). So dont talk to me about Porsche tech!

Personally I far prefer the Aston DBX cabin to the austere unimaginative Porsche - although it does have fab functionality. And its good that DBX does retain that Porsche-esque 'quick access' loadsa buttons by the gear lever thing.
Haven’t had any tech issues as yet with the Cayenne, having said that I’ve had 2 flat batteries and a drivers seat that needs new leather and foam. Not bad for 4 weeks!

Tech wise in the DBX, I believe it is the latest, it’s certainly later tech than vantage and dbs.

Looks nice, way too much money for my wallet. I'm sticking with the RR.

Why do AML insist on coming up with meaningless phrases like Beautiful is Relentless? Just let the product speak for itself instead of forming a jerking circle in the marketing department and coming up with this guff.

Sorry but in 1722 days since Geneva 3 March 2015 has it just turned into an ordinary family SUV with roof rails? Side view OK but not very appealing or distinctive.

It has changed a bit since project and concept signed off?

That's a concept car. Not really sure what your point is.

Can't help thinking it looks very similar to a Macan from the front...

What the heck!? At this early stage, could this be Aston's best looking current car? And that's a compliment... it's a massive achievement to make an SUV look good. Normally detest them, but this is pretty car and hides it bulk well. Would like to see it in the metal.

The interior also look better than Aston's other current models. Bodes well for the updates that are bound to happen in the coming years.

Good work! I really hope it pays off for Aston.

I’ve had my cayenne about 4 weeks, having waited 2 years for it. I’d swap it for a dbx in a heartbeat. Sure the tech isn’t up with Porsche but my car doesn’t make me go wow unlike the dbx. Each to their own.
There speaks a man with whom I can relate,,,, what wonderful words. bow

So neither colour ?

That’s all you had to say rather than resorting to infantile abuse.

You'll have to take my word for it when I say it really doesn't in real life.

Its is far prettier and more proportioned than (my) Macan on the front - that Porsche heritage slopey bonnet thing really restricts aesthetic options in my opinion. Its bottom was a bit more Macan or Cayenne (ahem) coupé I thought as it had the roof line dropping down towards the tailgate and a tailgate that was angled towards the front of that car at the top. That compromises loadspace a lot (esp compared to vertical rear door FFRR) as the glass comes into loadspace when shut but does make the car look far better - nods of coupé.

Well that was kind of the point of this mornings reveal smile. There's nothing left to "mystery" and I think there's a few good "look around" videos out there too (I haven't seen it yet but people say the CarWow one is good, so you might want to look at that).

If you're talking about seeing a customer car. My broad understanding is the timetable now works something like this:

- press review cars in January (second stage pre-production cars).
- First demo cars hit dealers in maybe April/May
- First customer cars May/June

If you want to see a physical car today, I think there's one in the Atrium at Gaydon. Not sure what will happen to the cars from the "confidentials", maybe they will rotate around dealers? And I think there will be one at the Geneva motor show if you're going to that

Why would I refrain, when your comment was so utterly vile and elitist? I stand by my statement.

I think it looks pretty good. Not sure removing the camouflage overnight has really sprung too many surprises. It’s pretty much what I expected. Compared to its direct competitors I think it’s the best looking out there though. Not a huge fan of the Vantage style rear lights. I thought part of the remit was to make each model unique? Looks good on the Vantage but a little out of place here imo. They could have tried to be a little more creative perhaps? It’s a long car, as can be seen from the side profile, but clearly that helps rear access and rear leg room. Length could prove to be a problem in the UK, but as we know that’s probably not the target market. There are some really nice touches in the interior, and it will be interesting to see if some of these features are moved over to other models as they get updated. I wish AML all the best with this new addition to the range. I hope they sell a shed load of them, as it’s the future of the company.

Best Regards

I think the test iirc was for Andy Palmers mother to be able to tell the models apart. I’m hoping she won’t mistake a DBX for a Vantage even with the similar rear lights biggrin

Looks absolutely fantastic in bright colours. Sadly about 2% will be anything but black/grey. Yawn.

What colour have you chosen for your new DBX then ?

You don't think you might be being a little over sensitive, maybe, just a little? I don't see any reference to your personal wealth and suspect the inference was challenging you as to what colour you would elect to buy, not if you could afford one. You're as entitled to your opinion on colours as anybody else is but didn't really get where the 'yawn' comment was going. I'm not sure if you've visited the factory recently, but there is a marked swing in the colours going down the line, much more vibrant and certainly not 98% black/grey. I'd say closer to 40% are 'safe' colours and the rest vary massively.
