Went to St Athan to see it yesterday (and a sneak preview of the new factory). My initial thoughts were that it looks superb, better than expected, I think the camo did well to hide the shape. Love the back especially but equally like the side profile and front. Considering it’s their largest ever grille, I don’t think it stands out as too big. The one I saw was concours blue which I think really suits it. Wasn’t as keen on the centre console, I know it’s similar to vantage but the control still look a little cheap. That said at least the screen has been integrated and it has CarPlay again! Spec’d one up to about £185k but tbf there was £17k of carbon in that.
I’d love one but would struggle to justify that amount of money on a DD and worry that it’s length and width could cause some issues parking.
Was that your car parked out front? Some scrote has nicked your front plate!I’d love one but would struggle to justify that amount of money on a DD and worry that it’s length and width could cause some issues parking.

Sorry but in 1722 days since Geneva 3 March 2015 has it just turned into an ordinary family SUV with roof rails? Side view OK but not very appealing or distinctive.
It has changed a bit since project and concept signed off?

That's a concept car. Not really sure what your point is.It has changed a bit since project and concept signed off?

1 A very long time
2 Way, way different to concept
3 Long time (very long time) to develop something from side that looks like 10 or so other mid-size SUVs
I hope it looks better in flesh, drives brillantly and does very well. AM time to market is just way too long - leaves way to long between key decisions and sales (for other cars too as appreciate they needed factory as assume to costly to go to contract manufacturers again).
Loving all these 'it has elements of this or that'.... of course it does, its an SUV, not a fking spaceship. With loads on the market, any new SUV is going to bear resemblance to others. With that in mind, does it better the the others it resembles...to me it does. If the handling is as good as they say too, it could win that award too.

Something to consider; it took Bentley 3 years to go from concept to production on the Benteyga. That was with the full force of VW's parts bin and R&D behind it. Benteyga sits on a chassis platform from the Audi A4.1 A very long time

Aston Martin has produced its first SUV, from scratch, on a bespoke platform, in barely a year longer. To my mind that makes Bentley look slow, not Aston.
FWIW, the Urus concept arrived in 2012 and didn't reach production until 2017...same parent company, same Audi A4 underpinnings. Aston Martin is small by comparison, but are producing better and better products every single year.

And there's the typical PH comment. Person isn't allowed an opinion because they can't afford one. Cock off.
So neither colour ?That’s all you had to say rather than resorting to infantile abuse.

Now now James , I’ve been called many things in my life but not vile and elitist , today I’ve added another two names to a very big list. He’s a Mackem FFS.

All because I worded a question in such a way he misunderstood it .
I’ll gladly accept his apology though.

Well that was kind of the point of this mornings reveal . There's nothing left to "mystery" and I think there's a few good "look around" videos out there too (I haven't seen it yet but people say the CarWow one is good, so you might want to look at that).
If you're talking about seeing a customer car. My broad understanding is the timetable now works something like this:
- press review cars in January (second stage pre-production cars).
- First demo cars hit dealers in maybe April/May
- First customer cars May/June
If you want to see a physical car today, I think there's one in the Atrium at Gaydon. Not sure what will happen to the cars from the "confidentials", maybe they will rotate around dealers? And I think there will be one at the Geneva motor show if you're going to that
Ah ok, thanks. Completely missed the morning reveal, just quickly saw that the offcial AML Instagram had a front pic but still somewhat mysterious. And I had enough of all of this secrecy.
