DBX sheds some disguise

TELL ME - they aren't still putting godawful stoneage Bridgestones on it are they? Ride quality is absolutely blo0dy key here!
Just had a ride in a mates new RR - it positively wafted... My air sus Macan is never harsh - one of the key reasons I got it over its slim tyred, filling loosening, 20" estate rivals...

I would have thought the ride quality is absolutely critical. How many of these will actually get used off road, despite its undoubted capabilities? I’m not in the market for one personally, but I suspect the answer to that question will be relatively few. Just had a ride in a mates new RR - it positively wafted... Virtually all of the reviews I’ve seen suggest the ride on the DBX is better than all of its rivals. So don’t panic just yet!
I’ll reserve my own judgement though until I’ve driven a production version myself. Hopefully it will be able to pull off that magic trick of being able to waft but also to be sporty when required

Yes. all season fitted on our drive. The ride in GT above 30-ish was okay, can't be definitive here, not enough time spent in the car but certainly needs some softening one way or another for our taste.
I have passed our concerns back to the dealership rep,,, he thanked me and assures me he's passed it back to the factory. So hope they consider providing some option rims or tweak the suspension maybe.

Surprises me bob, we had a lady with a terrible back and she loved it. She was so apprehensive and convinced she would hate it but tried front and back and found it fine. C'est la vie Robin. I do regret having to be critical, goes against the grain as you know. It was only afterwards on the drive home (Freelander) that the subject came up and Julia confirmed my impression. We both had time sitting passenger front and rear seats.
I'm sure it'll be no bad thing if they were to include an option rim or softer suspension setting.

Looking forward now to April and a demonstrator being available at the Cambridge dealership. I’ll reserve my own judgement though until I’ve driven a production version myself. Hopefully it will be able to pull off that magic trick of being able to waft but also to be sporty when required
