I looked at the blue car in AM Bristol, but I dont think that it was on that fantastic deal, as it was of a higher spec, therefore it was going to be a bigger chunk of deposit and monthly as well. They have a really nice car in Arden green though.
Granted, it is highly spec’d (800W hifi, full leather, red callipers, sports seats, gorgeous deep gunmetal alloys and that amazing paint colour), but the deal was still amazing value IMHO.

They did also have a new silver Vantage which was lower cost as well as a VERY nice Mako Blue example with lots of carbon.

But AM Bristol weren’t exactly awash with 21st Century model stock as some have talked about. Good sign for the dealer.

OK - enough sales patter from me (and no... I’m just a customer footing the depreciation on my V8VS!).

I would have gone for Mariana blue if the dealer had one in stock. Went for Ultramarine Black, looks dark blue in sun.
Very similar spec in many ways, thought. Ultramarine Black is a stunning colour in the sun.

I love the liquid gunmetal alloys on these cars...

Dropped off today, brilliant piece of kit. Forget the naysayers of the internet. They look and more importantly drive absolutely beautifully !!

I like the overall look of these and one thing for sure it does make the prev Gen car look it's age when they are viewed side by side.

This may not be your issue and no warranty is implied, but it's a push-push mechanical latching system designed to avoid the non-opening issues of the electric fuel flap on VH models. It was first introduced on the DB11 with a metal fuel filler bowl/latch mount but the bowl on the new Vantage was changed to SMC material. If the flap is pushed in too hard or there's an issue with the installation the push-push latch can break free and, as there's nothing to react against, the push-push doesn't unlatch. You probably need to get access behind the boot side trim to support the latch so pressing the flap can make the push-push mechanism unlatch - then the flap probably won't re-latch correctly

You need to take this to a dealer - they may have a work-around by now

I could, of course, be completely wrong.

I'm 5,9 not quite powerhouse built but very good looking wink In all honesty I like a low seating position but I feel too low in the Vantage so have the seat set higher than normal.
Is this J Fox Lotus Exige S1 man? smile

It appears that the Vantage offer has been sufficiently successful to clear out Stratstone Western Avenue. They have sold 35 cars in the last few weeks, none left to offer.
I had to call around for stock. Found an Ultramarine Black( v dark blue) car at Grange, the spec was exactly how I would have speced the car, list £145,000, Grange pay £105,000 for the car, PCP deal & £1029 per month, residual value of circa £90,000.
Hard to resist!
I almost bought that car. Well done, lovely colour.

The red one too is a beauty. Enjoy.

Congrats to everyone getting into these great cars. I've had mine for about a month now, interested to hear if other's views match mine.

Firstly, I did rush into this a little, in that I wasn't in the market for a new car - it was actually my Brother that got wind of the deal and decided he wanted one. It was going to the dealer and seeing what is now my car in the showroom that twisted my arm to join him. I think for that reason the excitement/bonding experience has been a bit weird, as I've had to get rid of my beloved F type at short notice that has many great memories attached. I was also not as keen on the design of the new car vs the old one, and I had adored my 'old' vantage when I had it.

I'm still not 100% convinced on the colour (Q Elwood blue) either. It can look very different in different lights, and I think a part of me does still wish it was red (call me picky!). HOWEVER, that's the negative out of the way. The car is absolutely fantastic and refined in a way the old one never was. I'm about 600 miles in now and I wouldn't have any doubts about dailying it. The camera system makes manoeuvring easy and it's not really that big. I'm still running it in, the salesman said there was no need but the manual does say 800 miles...has anyone else tried to follow this? I've also noticed the oil takes a long time to get up to temperature (you get a temp readout in track mode), mine was still <60 deg after 20 mins of town driving earlier today.

It also seems pretty reliable/well built so far. The only issues I've picked up on are the driver's door not being profiled quite right resulting in a bit of wind noise, and I get a whistling from the aircon on anything above fan speed 2. I'll hang on another couple of weeks incase any further niggles appear and get it back into the dealers for hopefully a straightforward warranty claim.

One thing I did notice is that the paint needs some attention, with sanding marks and localised scratching apparent. The dealer MOP'd it for me before collection after I'd highlighted some of the issues, but didn't do a very good job. There are pig tails evident on the bonnet and elsewhere, and some of the sanding marks remain. I'll have the discussion with them as I know they're not really kitted out to detail/repair this properly so I'd rather a contribution to me sorting it via a trusted detailer (if this is even possible!). It is disappointing however as it shouldn't have come out of the factory with obvious sanding marks.

Some pictures of our travels so far:

first proper wash!

We certainly are.

A few electrically niggles while in my garage but I think that's from the battery being low as it's not my daily. And the words Aston and Martin seemed to have worn off the rear drivers side brake caliper. A slight misalignment on the drivers side door. Coming from Lotus it's really not an issue, I'll mention it before the next service but it's no biggy.

Oh and everyone LOVES it. Not a single negative. Enjoy everyone.

It's amazing how the perception of a car changes when suddenly the price is right! Tough on people who forked out at higher levels before these deals were done tho.
