I have "Service C due in 144 days" in the service menu... isn't this the 40,000 mile / 4 year service? The car has done 450 miles and in 144 days will only be 6 months old...

I had that too. Did a manual reset over the phone with the dealer.

I spotted mine was doing the same when I collected it, but then forgot about it! I guess they are reporting the time from when they were built given a lot are stock cars? Would have expected them to be reset at the PDI...

Just posting this for information in case anyone else has or had it.

After driving for 30 minutes, stopped the car and was out of it for 5 minutes. When I got back in there was a message in yellow on the dash saying 'EDiff unavailable'. When I started the car a red message came up saying that the suspension modes were not working and to consult the workshop. Even more scary was the traction control was set to track mode and I couldn't change it back. Called Grange and a chap there said he'd seen this once before and the service people had said to drive the car for two minutes, stop and turn off the ignition, open and close the door and then start the car again. Lo and behold it cleared the problem thumbup Another Aston quirk I guess wink I would like to know what caused it though.

Terrible video. You get seasick from the way this guy holds the camera and I'm not impressed by his driving going in excess of 100 km/h past cyclists etc. A video to forget !

This and the tales of cruise control issues are a real shame, there is no excuse for this type of 'sw bug' on a new car.

As for the service reset sounds /feels like shoddy PDI on the part of the dealer IMHO.

Ah yes, if in doubt, reboot... bit like owning a Windows PC

This morning the infotainment screen refused to turn on, despite trying every button and starting and stopping a few times. I panicked as I rely on the cameras to get out of a (very) awkward parking spot. In the end, I stopped the car, got out and locked it, waited a few seconds, unlocked it and got in again... and the screen came on first time.

I also had a lot of random warning messages in the first 100 miles or so (e-diff, suspension, some fluid level..) and in each case "rebooting" the car fixed it.

I was sort of prepared for this so it doesn't worry me too much, although I do miss the BMW "it just works" (Mac...?)

I put the Ctek charger on and the battery in my 'new' Vantage doesn't have a lot of charge, probably from sitting idle for many weeks. And of course a low battery can cause all sorts of gremlins so it's sitting charging now and hopefully a fully charged battery will cure some of the unique 'features' of the car smile . The mangetic attachment for the charger next to the number plate light is a nice touch.

I had one on demo in early Dec that went a bit nuts reporting eDiff failures and allsorts. AM Works came out to sort it and that was also the battery. Once it gets too low it seems like all bets are off! They said that battery had a faulty cell so maybe their demo sat around a bit as well. They were super helpful sorting it so the issue didnt put me off going for one.

Re: the magnetic charge point, did you buy a CTEK converter? I spotted some out there by https://www.cccharger.co.uk/ but they seem a bit pricey for what is basically a wire with two connectors.

PS- I'm not sure I'd class the Cruise control 'push' on cancel as a fault as some have. To me its just how it works and once you know it does it you can easily modulate the force required to cancel (or at least you can once the brakes start to lose that initial grabbiness).

I do feel cruise is a design fault, never has this issue in any other car . Surely any movement on brake pedal should cancel cruise ?
3-4 times I’ve checked if my foot is either on brake or on throttle as car accelerates ! Surely having to check is a distraction during what is a braking scenario.
Anyway, only my opinion of course 🤐

You need a MagCode Connector and a CTEK lead, don't know where to get them in the UK, but I found them here for example:

Cheers. Had found the same. They actually do an equivalent to the CC Charger ones (which are also available on eBay). From what I can tell all the MagCode connectors look to be identical.

just to clarify - are you saying the cc does not turn off/diss-engage when you press the brake?

certainly had cars where the cc is on and you press the accelerates and it will accelerate and not take off the cc but never have the cc remain on when touching the brake. that would not be safe.

Above the rear number plate, between the reversing camera and the right hand licence plate light.
