This thread should help, I bought the cccharger conditioner along with an extension and magnetic connector, it's excellent.

Just posting this for information in case anyone else has or had it.
After driving for 30 minutes, stopped the car and was out of it for 5 minutes. When I got back in there was a message in yellow on the dash saying 'EDiff unavailable'. When I started the car a red message came up saying that the suspension modes were not working and to consult the workshop. Even more scary was the traction control was set to track mode and I couldn't change it back. Called Grange and a chap there said he'd seen this once before and the service people had said to drive the car for two minutes, stop and turn off the ignition, open and close the door and then start the car again. Lo and behold it cleared the problem Another Aston quirk I guess I would like to know what caused it though.
Sounds like Windows 98 just needs a restart After driving for 30 minutes, stopped the car and was out of it for 5 minutes. N12 , Afaik no battery monitor per se in any Aston. I’ve no idea of how long without activity the battery doesn’t need charging for and have no intention of finding out !
Normally I work to theory that if not going to be used for 2 weeks or more my Vantage goes on CTEK.
Better to be safe than sorry.
My GT8 is also permanently connected unless being driven although that’s a lithium battery.
MXS 5 model for the Vantage - Amazon usually best price although don’t think they do the magnetic connector.

Nope, pretty sure it doesn’t have it. V12 in DB11 and DBSS definitely does.
quote from the font of all knowledge that is wiki...."The M177 was the first variation[6] released in the Mercedes-AMG C63. In contrast to the M178, this version of the engine uses wet-sump lubrication. In the C63 and GLC63 applications, the turbos are single-scrolled, whereas in E63 and S63 are twin-scrolled and different exhaust manifold. The twin-scroll application also features cylinder deactivation.[7] This engine is also used in the Aston Martin DB11 and the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage, as part of the agreement between Aston Martin and Daimler AG that began in 2013.[8][9][10][11]"
it's slightly ambiguously worded, but it looks like it does have cylinder deactivation.

Yeah, had found the generic info on the engine, but not the specifics of how AM use it. I can imagine it doesn't have to be active. Can't see it anywhere on AM blurb either. Would be good to get a definite answer. "The M177 was the first variation[6] released in the Mercedes-AMG C63. In contrast to the M178, this version of the engine uses wet-sump lubrication. Has anyone had any luck customizing their vantage key? I love the car but just looking for some way to jazz up the plain black key!
I don’t think mine leaves my pocket. It is I n a leather holder and that’s about it. I think AstonMartinKeyRepair offer some customisation of the new style of key. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
