One passed me in Edinburgh today, and I have to concede the car has street presence.

I was under the impression that the new Vantage was significantly faster than the V12S. And especially on track. I think the new Vantage can hit a sub 12sec quarter mile....11.6sec by Car&Driver? With a basic ECU tune + downpipes for +100HP...well there really is no comparison then!

In terms of looks, honestly, having compared both side by side the new Vantage does look like a significant step up. More modern definitely. ...... I'd say the new version is subjectively superior.

I think you must be right Alex. I have just found this on the internet.

'Vantage 1 was originally brought to the market in 2005 and has been superseded by the Vantage 2, which was introduced in line with improved technology and market requirements.

Vantage 1 has now reached the end of its serviceable life with cost of repairs increasing and spare parts becoming increasingly difficult to source. In fact. we no longer have two critical spare parts, and for this reason we are recommending a replacement programme of Vantage 1 for Vantage 2 be considered to safeguard the recipe management, traceability processes, and average weight equipment within your business.'

Do you think I should now change my Vantage 1, for the new model ?

Where did that come from? I can’t picture what kind of business that could be written by, or who was intended to receive it.

DB11 sales pretty (possibly very) poor here compared to DB9 despite pretty Volante and AMR versions and Aston engine option in coupe.

Must be due a major facelift/revamp Sept/Oct 2020? once DBX sales/deliveries properly started and a bit of cash coming in (although overall APAC sales of 25% or so must be also a concern/drag on cask flows).
Bit of thread creep here (sorry) but with regards to facelifts/revamps etc, I do wonder if AM are thinking about fitting the DBX instrument cluster to the other models. The two dials in the DBX look so much better than the small single central dial currently in the Vantage/DB11/DBSS. Imho, I think the single dial is hard to read as so much information is crammed in to such a small area. We shall see I guess.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but is this major facelift/revamp a fact, a rumour or just a wish?

Since the DB11 is already 4 years old, it seems logical. And even more because the infotainment is the very old MB COMAND 5*1 (my previous S63 already had 5*2, my current one 5*5 and DBX will have 6 = MBUX) as well as that MB/AMG has much better/newer transmissions available that suit the DBS much more than the current one!

Postponed my DBS buy for these reasons (See other threads).
