Any update on first deliveries?
UK customers who had specs locked in, have already started receiving their cars. While 80% of orders in the first year are destined for overseas markets, there's a good few UK orders that were locked in and specced before production started.Westlondondriver said:
I was told if I ordered now it would be Q1 next year before the car arrived - probably March.
So unlike me (patience is not my strong point) I'm going to hang on to the cash until they drop the home grown TM01 twin turbo 3.0 ltr V6 into the DBX, cos that'll be a combo worth waiting for,,,, totally aston martin bespoke design and build. MO55 said:

Gosh, I assumed Moss that you were going to be one of the first inline for the DBX (would look good with the trailer setup :-) ) - do we know when they will be putting the V6 into the DBX?oilit said:

Oilit hi. The Valhalla will be the 1st recipient of the hybrid V6 in 2022, then the Vanquish 2023. So unless they decide to roll out across the range before the Vanquish, the DBX maybe 2024. I will wait,,, I want that engine in my Stirling green DBX. MO55 said:

A new engine in DBX would probably require a complete rehomologation, possibly including crash. I don’t think that would be a priority on a model that’s only four years old unless forced to. A lot will depend on the contract with AMG.You may end up waiting longer than you think.

If the AM V6 is going to be hybrid, would that be an aspect which would help the Company meet any forthcoming emissions requirements?
If so, perhaps it might be sooner rather than later.

The DB11 was launched with a V12, a year later a V8 was an option. Hybrids are here, electric is the future, move quickly or get left behind. I'm not in a hurry, need more car room space first. You may end up waiting longer than you think.

The V8 version of DB11 was known and planned while the V12 was being developed, to avoid any massive re-engineering. The V8 was planned to be engineered along with the Volante DB11 as sister programmes, so the homologation activities could be worst-cased and combined. It also included a few other items that missed the main V12 programme (for various reasons) like blind-spot monitoringAs far as “electric is coming, move quickly or be left behind”, AML have suspended the RapidE programme and the all-electric Lagonda

A complimentary review by Bloomberg.
I was surprised by this statement, Stroll says, "By 2023, Aston will be selling 14,000 vehicles a year".
Brilliant though, if that does happen.
