ops, I didn't watch the video and in that still you posted the person looks like they have long hair and a beard!
I know Rachel Brookes and she certainly doesn't have a beard, so I stand corrected.

No worries Richard.
I get mixed up all the time these days.
Am still very innocent about such matters.
Can remember listening on the wireless, to Julian and Sandy.
I had no idea, that there was a specific meaning. -
The big question now.
Will a reserve driver be in the first race?
Have you noticed how extremely rare it is, for an F1 driver to miss any races due to illness.
COVID being different of course, because the testing revealed the illness.
They don't want a reserve driver to have any opportunity, to show they might be faster than the regular.
Lance Stroll is probably the only participant who need not worry about that though.
A seat for life. He might become the oldest driver ever in Formula 1. -

I have watched F1 for as long as I can remember, 50+ years, and Lance Stroll comes in for a lot of stick because his dad bought the team and then because Racing Point is a stupid name for an F1 team he bought Aston Martin so the team had a much more cool name.
As a driver though he's okay, certainly not a crash a race like Maldonado or mobile chicane like Andrea de Cesaris. You don't have to be Nostradamus to predict that he will be overshadowed by Alonso this season but equally I think the criticism of Stoll is because of his position not his racing.

You have therefore watched the sport from,
World Champions, who beat Ferrari.
to,
After three years of trying, we wish we could keep up with Ferrari, then overtake them to be World Champions.
I was slightly jesting about Lance Stroll, but getting the sack might be less of a worry for him.
My wife told me today, that Felipe Drugovich will drive if LS is not fit.

I've been in the Tyrrell wood shed
P.s. Tyrrell went onto become the all conquering Mercedes team of today
Aston Martin was originally Jordan F1

Yes, the famous second hand, ex-military shed is still there.
A marvellous giant killing story of British determination, achieved with skill and modest finance.
It all began on the 9th January 1964, by a Timber Merchant and a Married Women, one share each.
Wonderful.

I really hope that happens.
Yes an ideal location. There was talk about Brooklands, but Goodwood would represent a more appropriate era and it was where Ken Tyrrell first saw Jackie Stewart drive.
I think the Tyrrell descendents might own the freehold of the site, if so, I am sure they would want the shed to be kept in good hands, rather than just destroyed. A very ordinary structure, but with such unique history.
I join you in hoping it is preserved.
I don't know what is proposed for that site. Surely not more new houses. The local schools are overwhelmed already. Children being driven miles every day, to other schools further away. They still keep on about green net zero developments. The reality seems to be net hypocrites.

Well well! Perhaps I should throw my 22/23 ISA allowance at AM shares! Or maybe Cognizant
Often people are tempted to buy shares, after they have seen them double in 4 months !
They feel they have missed out and don't want to miss the continuing share price increase.
Might even borrow, to magnifying their expected gain. -
Who knows is the real answer.
Does 'win on Sunday, sell on Monday still work?
Do you think a few wins, could quickly double demand for the road cars? That would help.

I'm not going to invest in AM, but as and when they go bankrupt again, do the shares become worthless?
It sounds as though you have never experienced this, John.
My strategy has improved, so luckily no receiverships for very long time. In fact no companies making losses at the moment.
At the time of receivership, multiply your ownership percentage of the business by zero and the answer you get , should be fairly close to the value of your shareholding.
Can be even more frustrating, when the receiver establishes debts exceed assets, therefore no value remains for shareholders, but the business name is sold. Shareholders have nothing, but they then see the same name business resume trading.
Some Aston Martin shareholders have already been wiped out.
During the 1 for 20 capitalisation, everyone owning 19 shares or fewer, were 'shown the door'.

... The same guy owns the brand and the F1 team. That’s way more than most teams. Plus for Everyman that makes it one and the same. ...
The Lawrence Stroll private F1 team has rights to the AML brand name (subject at renewal at intervals, upon approval by
In the long history of Aston Martin, only once has there been a long queue of excited buyers for a core model.
The 2 year wait by some customers, for the 2005 V8 Vantage.
It would be wonderful if the recent and future widespread F1 publicity, does encourage an increase in orders for new Aston Martin cars.
Do you think it could turn out to a really significant volume increase?
If they could just get the demand to double, that would be perfect.
Run supply at 90% of an annual demand of 12,000, then the CFO would think he is working at Ferrari.

Actually, at that point I seem to remember it was Alex Buncombe in a Jaguar E-Type
Yes, quite correct Richard.
You might have been enjoying the event at Goodwood.
I watched online. Think I spotted a blue DB2 competing.
When I tried to think up my mini 'headline', I was imagining a private race, between car and wheel.
So pleased that the only apparent damage was presumably to the brake and lower wishbone. Perhaps N/S sill.
If a wheel detaches, of course some luck is needed regarding where the car happens to be, when it happens.
ASTON MARTIN VULCAN
You can watch an Aston Martin Vulcan racing at Brands Hatch this afternoon.
The car qualified this morning, in second place on the grid.

Personally if they go with honda for road car engine supplies I think they will badge it With Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) and I think HRC badging could work.
Any branding will become more opaque in a few years time, in the electric motor era.
Eg. The mild hybrid electric motor/generator now used in many Mercedes-Benz models, is manufactured by Mitsubishi.
Monaco GP.
Qualifying Part 2;
Remarkable how close the F1 lap times are this year.
What about this example;
Position 3. ........................................Alonso .... 1:12.107
Out of qualifying - position 14 .........Stroll ........ 1:12.623
11 places down for just half a second difference.
..................................................................................
Final Qualifying Result;
1. Verstappen ..... 1:11.365
2. Alonso ............ 1:11.449
3. Leclerc ............ 1:11.471
4. Ocon ............... 1:11.553
It appears that rain is forecast during the race tomorrow.
