Hi there, my current AM (DBS Superleggera) sits on Pirelli P-Zero (PZ4) with A7A homologation. I have been thinking of replacing Pirelli with Michelin 4S, but they are not available in A7A homologation, of course. Is there any alternative homologation I could potentially use or just go with a non-homologated tire? Looking for better traction, especially in wet conditions.

I'm not an expert on the DBS, but the V12VS was the same in that only the Pirelli P-Zero and P-Zero Corsa are officially approved.

My car is now 4yrs old so I took a view on the risk, in that the Mitchelin PS4S's perform better in every single aspect when tested vs the Pirelli options, so I purchased a full set. No regrets.

But if you are risk averse and given your DBS is probably still under main warranty, maybe you may wish to stick with the approved option.

Well done BTW on wearing out a set already smile

Unless you’re absolutely determined to maintain the driving and handling characteristics exactly as the manufacturer intended - for better or worse - there is no reason to avoid non OE marked tyres. I switched OE Pirelli’s on my V12V for Michelin PS4S’s and as above, they are much better.

Surely using a different brand of tyre of the correct load and speed ratings cannot affect the warranty. Especially when they're better. Another Pilot Sport 4s fan here.

Thanks for your feedback. BTW - DBS Superleggera consumes tires quite rapidly. Already replacing the rears for the second time, the fronts for the first time.

Wow! After how many miles is that? PS4S will likely last longer too. Strange but true.
