Aston Vantage 2006

I notice that you have not had any response.
Your question might have puzzled everyone.
For pre-glass key versions, I picture a shaped fob with a traditional metal key protruding from it.
Presumably the metal key works in a normal way, without involving any electronics.
You describe the spare fob working, so therefore not a failed fob battery. Could the spare metal key be damaged?
Strange that one key works, but not the other one.

I believe that the key itself talks to the immobiliser, so there will be a problem with the chip in the key itself - I assume the key opens the doors/fits in the ignition (I.e. it's not a completely wrong key)?
I think this is the situation. Common problem across many cars and Google will be your friend for a solution.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
