Bit of a strange comment that one.
The comment was referring to Paul Thursby (Newcastle AM DP), if anyone wanted to ask him anything they could visit his dealership, that's all.

Not so much strange as snide.

Sorry this is full as per previous posts.
.
Thanks. We were willing to make our own lunch arrangements.
I seem to recall that the one I organised in the north that there were plenty of people who did that as the pub was full.
It was great to have more cars on the run out itself.

I’m sure we can have another northern runout after the covid restrictions are lifted and venues have more flexibility with numbers.

I'd love you to come James but unfortunately we are limited to 30 people.

I've been organising this for along time and you've had plenty of opportunity to be put on the list.

Due to Covid restrictions we have to keep to numbers and I'd hate for people to either get fined alot of money or get sick.

Plus if owners want to upgrade there cars they can goto AM Newcastle themselves.

So maybe next time.
Funny response this one. For your information I could not put myself on the list earlier as I have been made redundant and had to sell my AM. It’s a tough time for us and Paul was kind enough to ask if I would I like to borrow a car and join the run out as a bit of a pick me up. So that’s why we were asking late.
Fully appreciated that you were full and accepted that.
Also Paul was coming as a AM owner and enthusiast of 20 years, nothing to do with his job. So am not really understanding your comment.

Saying all that, I hope the weather holds up for you and you all have a great run out. 👍

Sorry to hear about you parting with the aston James. Are you both still going to be out and about on the sunday to meet later on?

Hi, yes it was a sad moment. I’m not sure, I’ll ask Paul. What time are you thinking? I thought the day sounded pretty full already.

I’m thinking there will be a depart around 2.30-3pm so it would be around 3.30-4 to get to say Leyburn, or a bit later for Richmond. Hasn’t been discussed, I know there will be a mixed bag after lunch some wanting to head home in various directions but I will happily bring a convoy north even if its just me myself and I, never one to miss some good roads.

Sorry to hear you had to sell your Aston, hope things get better and you can get back into the marque.

I lost my job last year also but luckily i found another so was able to keep the Aston.

As you know we are now full for the venues but if anyone pulls out i will let you know.

You are very welcome to join Andy and I after lunch, if not they'll be another run out August time I'd imagine.

Thanks to those involved in organising this. And for chasing for my payment and menu choices smile

Appreciated (especially given my scatterbrain tendencies towards anything that is more than 24hrs in my future lol)

Thanks to Paul and Andrew for arranging today. Great day out. Great food. Great venues. Great company. Great Scott!!! it's hard keeping up with the V12s in my lowly 4.3 V8 smile

As luck would have it there is some footage of me trying to keep up with the V12s! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkH_S6C1kdA

You were able to keep up no probs.

The afternoon run out was ace, Andy in his DB9.2 rocket ship in front, i was just about able to keep up with him, and Myles then Steve in their V12V's behind giving full beans!!!!!

Having a day off today, gunna clean the car this afternoon.

Myself and Joy would like to say a big thank you to Andy and Paul for organising this, for doing a stellar job and to everyone we met who made us feel very welcome. We’ve never been to a meet like this before and we really enjoyed it, we’re looking forward to the next one.

I’ve been considering upgrading the ‘55 DB9 to something newer, despite other priorities, and I’ve seen something else which I can’t get out of my head!

I’ve seen a few DB9.2s which, as I may be investing in a new business, would be a good upgrade on mine rather than getting a DBS/Vanquish

Great choice Damien, IMO they're the best Gaydon car apart from the mk2 Vanquish. I'll probs get one sometime in the future.

The great thing is they have the same engine as the Vanquish but power limited to 510 bhp, with an easy reflash the power increases to 565 bhp and primary decatted to 585 bhp.

Andy (soofsayer) is your man he's done the above and his DB9.2 is a ballistic missile!!!!.

It was his car that made me look more at the DB9.2 and I didn’t know about the 510/545 easy upgrade, cheers. Any Aston I buy in the future will be going to BR for the same exhaust work you and I have had done (unless done already of course!)
