If you are a married gentleman, would your wife be happy to wear hookers shoes, whilst in your wrapped car?
This is one of the most sexist, mysogynistic, and "boomer" things you've ever written on here, and that's up against some pretty stiff competition.

I'm not sure I know where to start, following that...

Reminds me of that Eddie Izzard sketch
"Cake or death?"

"Er, Cake please"

When I bang my finger, my expletive is always limited to, "Oh bother".

My tongue in cheek comment is probably only humorous, if accompanied by that picture showing the lady wearing funny shoes, beside the wrapped pink Vantage.

Written without the photo the context is entirely lost, and I agree, it then makes no sense and is awful.

At least our OP saw the joke.

It was the missing apostrophe in "hookers" that got my goat.

Be fair - he did use "whilst" in a post on a car forum biggrin

And to be fair, the original poster said it could have been POTENTIALLY CONTROVERSIAL right in the title! biggrin

I'll pass it on to my goat - he's very particular about grammar.

Presumably that was not meant to be sexist/mysogynistic.

But indeed some caution is needed when commenting in a sexual/erotic context. Bourgeois pettiness sometimes becomes evident. wink

I wrapped my 06 Tungsten Silver. As a few others have said, it's your car, do with it what you will.

You now have a 1 of 1. Very good.

Your user name might suggest that you are familiar with the ex-Tyrrell Formula One premises.
Therefore, did you ever consider having an Elf Blue wrap ?
That may be up next!

And again I vote nardo. I love white cars too, but just don't think it works on a Vantage.

Despite my earlier comments about a wrap, for me, the Vantage is truly beautiful because of its curves... like a beautiful woman. The Vantage shape reflects light in a way that emphasises the beauty of its design, and it has always seemed to me that a wrap doesn't truly reflect light, and hence detracts from the beauty of the Vantage shape....

I don't know if it's still there but the VH Vantage that was on top of the wall on the right as you drive into the Gaydon VIP car park was wrapped in chrome

edited to add the picture

My apologies to your goat Jonny. Sorry, I did omit the apostrophe.
The positioning of the apostrophe could probably be debated, because the word might be in plural form.

I know a little bit about Aston Martin and a little bit about business finance, but on shoes I know nothing.
Did I use the wrong name for those huge shoes, worn by the lady sitting beside and on the wrapped Vantage ?

Hope she did not bend the delicate alloy bonnet.

Thank goodness for the sensible choice of picture, this could have been the equivalent of pouring a can of petrol onto the log burner had a picture with less goats cashmere attire been chosen.

Agreed - wouldn’t want to inflame an already volatile thread.

Incidentally - it’s “goat’s cashmere” or possibly “goats’ cashmere” depending on how many of them knitted it.
