Agreed - wouldn’t want to inflame an already volatile thread.
Incidentally - it’s “goat’s cashmere” or possibly “goats’ cashmere” depending on how many of them knitted it.
Goats can knit? Learn something new every day. I'm off to check if they have opposable hoovesIncidentally - it’s “goat’s cashmere” or possibly “goats’ cashmere” depending on how many of them knitted it.

D*ckhead. Predictable response. I'm all for the original style, class and beauty of Aston Martin's craftmanship - that's why I dreamt of owning one, and ultimately realised that dream following a lot of hard graft. BUT, the simple fact is that my car is 14, nearly 15 years old and with modern techniques if I can give it a tasteful refresh then why not? Ultimately it's a stop gap until I work a little harder & can afford a newer model.
Nardo grey is a very interesting option, I am now infinitely more confused about what to do - but have a good debate on my hands! Going to get one of my designers to mock up a few options!
P.S. Keep me updated on the goat situ - I'd happily invest in a goat knitting business, did you see that farm that made £50k for goat Zoom calls during lockdown? Imagine what people would pay for a goat knitting tutorial!

Like someone has said before - of all options, a white wrap is quite bland and almost predictable.
You said the car is a keeper - now its a "stop gap"?!
A proper (!), AM-worthy wrap will set you back a few thousand GBP, and when selling the car or trading it in for a "better" model, you will most likely face a somewhat massive discount compared to an unwrapped car.
Given how picky AM fans are, I would dare to guess that the total cost to you (high quality wrap, discount when selling/removal and paint correction when reversing the wrap for potential sale) will be 7-9k GBP. Why not find a white car with a black roof (maybe with fart can and black wheels and and )and live the Insta dream while keeping your extremely nice original V8V on the side?
Your unwrapped car looks so great, it even has the original grille! In a colour that makes its curves and lines even stand out more than the usual dark and mid greys (like mine). It is such a classic style, and now you want to make it look like a AMG somthing on tick owned by someone with a pencil moustache and white tracksuit bottoms by "Guccey".
Even consider where you live - silver nicely blends in and looks good in overcast weather, whereas Essex white only looks good in sunshine.
I watched a film showing an Aston Martin being wrapped.
The technician was using what looked like a craft knife, to cut the plastic sheets around parts of the bodywork.
I can remember thinking, no one will be getting even near to my car holding a craft knife.
Swirl marks are bad, but knife cuts are far worse.

Is that an original colour? Nice.Yes, Tweed Grey is an original colour and a grey Cooper version, had an Old English White roof.
That Austin Cooper, recently sold, has been completely rebuilt, so although original colour, it is not the original paint.
I have a Morris version in the same colours, which does have original paint. Not for sale.

I don't really do odd number plates but is that supposed to look like the slang word for ladies bits ? Funnily enough you can also do the same with the word Vantage. A combo of 2 slang words for lady bits if you think hard.

This might be controversial and I may get slated... But, I'm thinking of wrapping my 2006 v8 vantage.
Has anybody got any photos of what they've done/suggestions of what would work well?
My current thinking is:
Nothing wrong with having it wrapped. Lot of choices. White is OK, but it won't show the curves of the car. I think white is one of the worst colors on a Vantage. Has anybody got any photos of what they've done/suggestions of what would work well?
My current thinking is:
- White body wrap
- Black roof & mirrors (or would dark mirrors be too much, have them white?)
- Black wheels
- White body wrap
- Black carbon fibre roof & mirrors (or would dark mirrors be too much, have them white?)
- Black wheels
Unless carbon fiber wrap has changed in the last few years, it really looks phony, like crap, looks nothing like real carbon fiber. I looked into it several years ago, thought of having my roof done for the heck of it, but it looks cheap.
