Excited to hear this, please provide videos!
Will do, I have a sound meter at work somewhere so will take some dB readings along with the video. Most videos show them being revved up in a garage or workshop which doesn’t give a true representation of how it will sound in the real world. JJbing said:
Yes SS will turn gold on the surface from the heat. But compared to factory (Aston) still has its shine. Doesn’t the back box in a Lamborghini get higher heat than an AM, since it’s so close to the engine?AstonV said:

Yeah that car got seriously hot, I had a decat on as well so there was flames every downshift. 4Q said:
I finally got round to fitting the exhaust. It’s much smaller and lighter than a standard box and looks lost in the space but it’s great to be able run quietly when I want to.
If anyone wants a (very loud) quicksilver super sports back box for a DBS or DB9 I might know where there is one
That looks lovely Steve, but how does es it sound in both quiet and loud settings? If anyone wants a (very loud) quicksilver super sports back box for a DBS or DB9 I might know where there is one
And did you get chance to get the decibel's measured?

I haven’t measured this one yet as I haven’t set up the remote because I ran out of time on the day. It’s still using the standard AM set up to control the valves so I don’t know if they are fully opening but its much quieter. It has a slightly deeper richer sound now whereas the old one reminded me of a Merlin engined Spitfire. And did you get chance to get the decibel's measured?
The old one which was pretty much a straight through box, spiked at 103dB on start up settling to high 90’s on tickover and 109dB at 3000rpm with the sound meter approx 1.5m away at 45 degrees. It was louder at 6000rpm but the guy taking the measurement didn’t write it down and couldn’t remember if it was 113dB or 116dB.
