Congratulations on your new car. This thread has been a very interesting read and it’s clear that your car certainly gets people talking! I watched the start up video you posted too and I have to say it looks and sounds fantastic in the flesh. Some of it isn’t to my taste as I posted previously but it’s definitely a unique car, one of a kind, and it sounds like it’s gone to a good home. Well done!

Thanks, Mark, Phil and Minglar!
I really don’t mind if others find this not for them. That’s the lovely thing about Aston’s… it’s possible to spec them in every which way, many of which are very personal.
Really nice to be back in a SportShift. The previous Boxster S (981) has a PDK, which was technically brilliant from an engineering point of view. But quite devoid of connection. I love the more mechanical feel of the SS and that I have to help it along a bit (no harder than any basic manual stick shift). And I missed the smell of clutch when reversing
Fortunately for me, I can’t get on with the ergonomics of the manual in a Vantage. It’s set too far back for me. Having seen the prices of other AMR or similar spec V12 manuals, I think I got away lightly!

Congratulations! I think it is spectacular!
I read the whole thread start to finish this morning and what a lovely ending to the story.
Those AMR wheels were available in silver or black when launched, I have only seen one other with the silver, I think they look great.
I may get mine which are black resprayed and am thinking about that lovely gold/bronze colour you see on Porsche Carrera GTs, yours has helped make my mind up (my car is scintilla silver).
Well done again, it's magnificent!

Thanks all! And oilit for your help along the way
Hopefully it will also put a grin on other's faces next year. Earlier this summer, we went to the Beaulieu Supercar Weekend and chatted to a couple of owners on the Sporting Bears ( http://sportingbears.co.uk ) pitch, especially an AM owner. I came across them once before and think it's a great idea.
I need to check it's all OK insurance-wise for myself, but I am very tempted to join in.
It's one of the reasons I never truly bonded with my Boxster. Fantastic car in many technical ways, but the dealers were very cold and the owners club was terrible. Polar opposites of the AM experience.
Nobody needs a sports car, so you gotta enjoy the experience from start to end and share that.
Thoroughly recommend joining up with Sporting Bears - hopefully see you at a future event Hopefully it will also put a grin on other's faces next year. Must admit I do love those wheels! I don’t think they were available in silver. That’s what AM Bristol told me 2 years ago, and when I asked whilst collecting at HWM, the said they had to spray them silver for the client.I read the whole thread start to finish this morning and what a lovely ending to the story.

And I know what you mean about the Porsche gold/bronze wheels as you can get on the GT4, et al. On a black car, I think they are stunning. Can’t recall seeing them fitted to a lighter car. Would like to see that. Photos, please!

Congratulations Nick, you`re a braver man than me! It`s a unique car and sounds like it will keep you very happy for some time to come, and that`s what counts!
Thank you, Mr.Tremlini Spent the afternoon being the taxi for friends. Everybody loves the sound!
A keeper for sure.
Congratulations with your purchase Nick.
Great to see some coloured V12 Vantages!
There’s a WhatsApp group for non black/grey cars.
Yours makes me think of older 70’s/80’s V8 Vantages.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but very unique !
Enjoy the miles, it’s a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful car!
