Thanks, Mr.Tremlini, M1AGM, hashluck and Import. Not sure what show I’ll be at next. The AMHT one may be in the family wagon. That’s the only downside of a two seater… you have to choose
I’m not going out of my way to create a history for the car. The priority is to enjoy it. Once Vee Junior has flown the nest, I very much hope photos of Jekyll will emerge from all over Europe or even the USA. The best overseas jaunt I can hope for now is Germany or the Netherlands for work. Not that that’s a bad thing!
But this is the thing about cars in showroom condition but only hundreds of miles on the clock. In decades to come, what can people talk about? I’ve become more interested in the prewar stuff, and originality is simply not as important as the car’s fascinating history; what it did, where it went, who it’s owners were.
And, Mr.Tremlini, as for not being sure about the spec, don’t worry! You’d be part of a major club! Just the other day, I was nattering to a friend outside his house when an elderly gent wandered by. “Like the car, but really not sure about the colour.” So even as/when you see it, you may still feel a little ill
