Having went through this ordeal when I bought the car, I would have loved to have these valves easily available as they are now.

Long story short, one of the valve rods was broken, AM quoted 4500 € for a new exhaust, I tracked down the original UK manufacturer and supplier (Helical), had to find a shop in Europe that had them in stock and were keen to send one over to Italy (Scorpion Exhausts) then weld it in place of the broken one in a local shop here.

So, if your valves are stuck or broken beyond repair, just order one from DAE and have an exhaust shop weld it in, easy.

Of course no affiliation, I just found out randomly when I was looking if they had new parts available.

This needs to be added to the "Alternative parts" sticky. Nice find EVR

very thoughtful of you. i know that pulling the fuse and thus making the valve inoperable can causing it to become permanently inoperable is not uncommon. good of you to do the upfront work and share. kudos.

Seems they’re not an uncommon item. Haven’t checked sizes on this one, but gives an indication of cost….

If I recall it correctly, it was 160€ shipped.

Right, I checked the obvious sources too at the time (especially in the US), but many just were really cheap Chinese products in wrong sizes, I wanted to have the official replacement. I suspect those sold by DAE, if not the original Helical OEM, at least they have the same standard.
