Vantage Project Anyone?

Browsing the adverts as you do on an evening and found a nice little project for one of our mechanically minded members.

This is a DB7 Vantage that's had a busy life racking up, on occasion, 30,000 miles per annum. With just 270,000 miles on the clock it seems there is the issue of smoke when cold but the engine is quiet. Looking at the MOT history it seems this old girl has had its day with serious corrosion issues since 2018.

Of course, for a few thousand more you can have a nice rust free example with sensible mileage......

It sold for quite a bit less recently. Interesting car with that mileage though. Its now been for sale for a little while at this price too, so perhaps not the quick flip they thought.

I think its good that it has reached 270,000 miles which shows the engine can take it. With all the corrosion issues it's had I think its a bit too pricey. There seem to be a lot of Vantages for sale at the moment though at very reasonable prices.

Thats essentially my thoughts, and I do believe that engine needs work from the previous ad. I love a high mileage car, but its got to be reflected in the price.
