That is an interesting point, Adam.
We have both used photos of the same model car, but at two different dealers, so less likely to be a specification description error.
I was surprised when it was pointed out, that my first Red Oxide photo was probably Black Cherry.
I seem to remember seeing various Red Oxide photos posted here a long time ago (mostly 4.3 Vantage), which clearly looked a slightly purple shade of red.
Strange that AML have possibly 'reimagined' a leather colour, for an existing known colour name, instead of using a new name.
Inevitably going to cause confusion.
Possibly another (3,000 mile away) complication for OP to consider.

That black with Lord’s red looks really rather lovely. I like how it avoids the Dracula look of many black and red combos. Just a thought, but could the confusion around a leather colour that may or may not be similar to Black Cherry or more a rust colour be because we've been talking about two different colours?
Iron Ore Red is a different colour to Red Oxide (at least in some Aston documentation), but people have been talking about both as if the names are interchangeable. Understandable as Red Oxide pretty much describes Ferric Oxide (or rust to some people). So both have you thinking iron and so rust in discussions on red (though technically Iron Ore is usually a dark grey to black colour).
I found a book listing Iron Ore Red as up to 2015 (so VH cars) and Red Oxide as 2019 onwards (so C21 cars). In the same book, Black Cherry was listed as up to 2009. Iron Ore Red was described as a very dark red (possibly the colour being confused with Black Cherry?). Unfortunately no description of Red Oxide listed.
To add more confusion, I found a colour called Red Fox apparently available up to 2008. I have never heard of that before.

Bingo, yes - thats it! I think Jon started it saying Red Oxide was a 4.3 colour, which for me at least made my mine switch to Iron Ore Red. So yes, no colours reimagined, just two different colours with loosely similar names. Well spotted! Is that Black cherry or Iron Ore ?
Mine has the iron ore interior, not sure if its just a difference in name but look identical.
LOL, I'm guessing he actually knows his interior colour when he posts it!Mine has the iron ore interior, not sure if its just a difference in name but look identical.
They are close, but Black Cherry has a subtle purple tinge compared to Iron Ore, which is subtly more brown.
