I have just gone through this exercise and at first I considered getting my existing unit reconditioned by this company:

I have no idea how good they are, but I figured that as there is not too much that goes wrong with compressors, it was worth a try. I'm sure there are other companies that do this too.
Then I came across a brand new one on eBay, which I eventually purchased, as eBay was offering discounts worth £80. Here is the link:

Having checked the listing, it is now showing as out of stock. It might however be worth asking if they have any more coming in as they are cheaper than AM and seem to stock a good number of Denso compressors.

I'm intrigued as to what you eventually decided to do as I'm in the same boat.
Do you buy one off Aliexpress, which comes on a slow boat from China. Or do you buy a reconditioned one from the company you mentioned? You can even buy a Chinese one off Amazon for £330 with free postage. Or do you bite the bullet and pay £700-850 for a brand new pump in the UK. Decisions, decisions!
I've had the car two years (2006 V8 Vantage) and have so far replaced the condenser and some pipework between the condenser and the pump, but it still only lasts about two weeks when recharged.
It's going in for a service in two weeks and also for a closer look at the problem, so I'm expecting to have to fork out for a new compressor!
I had UV dye added last time, but can't see any leaks with a UV light.
