You guys know that you can play around with all the options with this configurator on the AM site, don't you?
Now, can someone please order one in my spec. and get ready to px in the spring.

What do you guys think of blue....
I very nearly went for blue exterior and blue interior when speccing mine. I liked it but the Toro red just won the day. Were you going to stay with black/grey seats? Strangely, I don't remember the bright blue as an option for the exterior when I was at Gaydon. There were the two dark blues though. I was playing with the blue colours (interior/exterior) on the configurator the other night but the configurator is nowhere near accurate for the colours. If you want to get a better idea, then the only way is to look at the swatches in the 'flesh'.
John,
Apologies for the delay in getting back with my impressions from the Belfast launch.
I enjoyed the evening. I was a bit surprised that none of the cars were started up for a listen … and by the fact that orange juice was the strongest thing on offer. Nevertheless, it was great to have a good close look at the cars and to sit in them.
The dealer will have a demonstrator in about 3 weeks and I am looking forward to a test drive before the end of November.
My first impressions are very positive. The car looks fabulous ‘in the metal’; a real head-turner. It may be the smallest Aston but it seems to have the most spacious interior. This is important to me as I am 6’ 4” and there would be no point in buying one if I can’t sit in it with reasonable comfort. For example, I can’t get comfortable in a standard Vanquish cabin. It’s still fairly snug and it felt like a car one wears rather than simply sits in. There’s definitely a special feel about it.
There were three colours on show: Titanium Silver, Mercury Silver and Toro Red – all with black interiors.
The Titanium Silver looked good … if you like that sort of thing. Unfortunately, I don’t and the car on display did nothing to change my mind.
Mercury Silver didn’t do it for me, either. There’s a strong green tinge to this colour and, being honest, I thought it looked a bit insipid and lacked presence.
Toro Red was the pick of the bunch for me. It was shown with coarse red stitching which I had expected to dislike but actually found quite attractive. I could live with this colour, perhaps with a different interior … but, I still found myself wondering if something else would suit me better.
All things considered, the event did nothing to help me reach a decision on colours. Two of the three colours on display are definitely off the list of possibles, with Toro Red remaining in the running. I still need to think about Slate Blue and Merlot Red … and then there are classic combinations like Black / Tan and even Meteorite / Iron Ore.
The reality is that the choice will be made by my wife; as I am largely colour-blind, she has the final say on anything involving colour!
