Hi all, Im posting on behalf of my dad, his first DB9 arrived this time last year, but it was plagued with horrible paint chipping, literally after every short journey there would be paint chips revealing a neutral coloured primer. I just wanted to know is this common amongst the first DB9 owners? He has since had a replacement car from AM at no cost to him, full marks to Stratstone, there was some initial hesitation from the factory but a new car came this summer with upgraded stereo and sincere apologies.

Another interesting point was that the car sounds completely different, the exhaust is a lot deeper between 1200 and 3500 rpm, many of the creeks on the previous car are non existant now and there is an external temperature display, curiously missing on the first car.

I can't remember the name of the colour but see picture below...

Didn't have any problems myself, but I have heard a few who have. Check out the AMOC Forums

not seen any paint problems personally, although they are starting to fit a clear stone chip protection film on new cars, so maybe it is an issue in certain areas. The outside temperature gauge was missing from the early model, it was just a software error, reflashing the necessary modules will correct it for those models.
