Driving home from Chester races yesterday we were followed by a V8 with the plate V 800 TAM. Nothing wrong with that I hear you cry except that the owner had altered the T to look like a 7 so it read.....V8 007 AM.

Am I alone on this one or is that ready sad? JB didn't even drive a V8 !

To me it's like sticking a clowns nose on the face of Kate Beckinsale.

Shouldn't be allowed and if you're reading this Mr Bond you should feel entirely embarrassed.

Possibly not. But I guess the guy/girl doesn't care wink

I spent a bit of time debating with myself about it, then thought screw it. Bit of fun. Who cares.

Most people don't even notice. Those that do (invariably thus far - I should probably avoid where you live though smile) smile and give it the thumbs up smile

Well, it's spent as much time on screen as the new AM!

And he did drive a V8 in The Living daylights. No, not THAT V8 perhaps, but a V8 vantage nonetheless, so why not?

My V8 Vantage plate reads: JM 007. The letters are my initials and the numbers were picked at random.

As others have said, just meant to be a bit of fun. As anyone who knows me will tell you, it is quite obvious that I unfortunately have nothing in common with JB.

Out of all the thousands of combinations you could have ended up with, you got 007, that is some coincidence smile

I don't have a problem with the plate, just found it amusing that a random number, for an Aston Martin, ended up as 007 smilewink

OK with such strong questioning, I will confess that the numerals were not really picked at random. I have a low pain threshold so no need to tie me to a chair or anything...

Go on, just let it out, if I had an Aston, I would have no problem sticking whichever plate I wanted on it, who cares what others think smile

(unless of course it is a BMW with BMW or X5 on the plate, then I get mad rofl )
