I thought, "its only money" and now, its only someone else's money!
I'm the proud owner of an Onxy Black 07 spec Vantage bounce
Pics to follow, if it ever stops raining....

1st (of many no doubt) questions, I was told the the car had the Premium Audio option fitted. Can anyone tell me how I can tell if this is the case by looking at it?

Ta.

Congrats

When you turn on the stereo it should come up with "premium audio" or words to that effect. At least my does and car is 6 months old.

Err,, I knew that !!!! ... hehe

Yes it does say Premium Audio. I thought it did have this option, the reason I wasn't sure was that underneath the shelf behind the seats, there is a cubby hole, on the base of which says "space for Premium Audio subwoofer". Presumably this should be full of subwoofer? (The space is behind the passenger seat).

Tonto,

If it has the 5.1 amp in the car which the premium shoud have?

If so then their should also be a Dual Voice Coil (DVC) 8" subowwfer in that location you mentioned.

Is there a small speaker in the centre of the dash?? it a 4" speaker.

Instead of stock why not do something like this..............

the premium audio is excellent. better than the bose in the 911

also has snob value to audiophiles (apparently - I have tin ears) to say you have a Linn stero in your car....

I thought AM and Linn parted ways? If not then all the better, have only heard good things about Linn and probably why the premium audio option is so highly rated. I'm sure I heard they no longer supplied AM though? Hope i'm wrong though smile

There should be a tool kit on the right hand side of the cubby hole and the sub woofer should be below that

The premium audio system in the V8 is by Alpine.

Thought the DB9 was Alpine and V8V was Linn?

My DB9 had the Linn system but AM suffered faults with them, especially with the subwoofers, I had to have mine replaced. The AMV8 has an Alpine system and I can't tell the difference to be honest, it still goes too lound and the bass kick is crazy, at normal levels it sounds good but I rarely use it as I like the exhaust note too much......

Congratulations!! biggrin That is beautiful, black Astons can never look bad. In fact, an Aston in pink would look good.

Ever thought about this as something to do in the future? Looks perfect in my opinion

looks nice...just like mine smile

Id get rid of the front no plate holder - a 10 min job, then a 3/4 plate on there so you can see all that lovely Aston grille smile

Ive also got anthracite wheels and slightly tinted glass too, which looks nice on a black car IMO
