That will look good on the ASTON but be carefull with any misspacing as the BIB are getting very
strict
I was thinking of 23 white fixing bolts on the front plate to totally obscure one of the 5's wink

Seriously, the spacing between A55 and TON is going to be slightly less than standard. I'm hoping that "they" aren't going to be petty enough to notice.

Back to quality plates - you could get Works Service to make them up, that way you not only get a good quality plate but you get Aston Martin Works Service in small letters along the bottom as well

wink
They can't do them like that anymore due to new legislations frown

I thought British Standard requires the name and postcode of the supplier to be displayed.

I know what my choice would be, and it wouldn't be the one where people would say "oh look, he's had to use illegal spacing to try and spell his car".

The standard one looks good in its own right ... no borders and maybe get a little Aston logo put centre bottom. Nice smile

So you'd rather people thought you were Bella Emberg's fatter twin? biggrin

Yip they sure do. Just picked mine up today. Was originally told it wasn't possible but low-and-beyhold the logos are on them. Look good too.

I want something good quality. Anyone have a recommendation?

I've used Fancyplates online in the past and they are fine but curious who makes "the best" plates?
Porsche make very good quality, pressed alloy (probably tin!) plates with the lettering slightly raised. Sadly, you'll only get them if you do a Porsche factory collection and even then they'll only be valid for ten days! Mind you they're immune to all UK scameras - which is nice.

With aplogies for unhelpful post - although if you can find someone in the UK who does the same 'raised' lettering (same idea as embossing on a letterhead) I think it looks very smart. smile

bugger, rear number plate is too small !!!

Current plate is a non standard height and width which it needs to hide all of the fitting bracket behind.

Aston Works are going to have a look at it for me but originally had thought it was just a standard size plate for the rear.

Are you getting your V12 in olive twill with a tweed interior?

rofl I'll certainly be making sure that it matches my (stout) brogues and string back driving gloves. I wonder whether they do a 'damp dog' aroma too?

And so the saga continues (5 weeks on). Aston Works are saying "we can't help you" and are unable to supply the rear number plate. Basically I've to call the original supplying dealer. So I did, they told me the rear plate is a standard 125mm x 525mm and easy to get !

Argggggghhhhhhh..........................

Bit the bullet and ordered via them via Stratstone, Amersham.

Just need to do a 90 mile round trip to pick up and pay for them. Great! rolleyes
