you got an excuse with your *baby* Aston
I'm happy to bow down before DBS owners, clearly they have taste .................................................................................................................................................Even if its not as fast as a 4.7 V8 ... according to Autocar
Regarding Angel's earlier comment, regarding the DB9 he saw with DBS wheels as a "wannabe", I must say I don't necessarily agree. I'm considering the same option, Sport Pack with the 20" DBS alloys (I'm prepared to compromise on the lower unsprung weight of the SP five spokers). I look upon this as more akin to an "old skool" V8 with the POW (Prince of Wales) options; purposeful yet more understated than the full skirts'n'scoops set up. Your thoughts?
PS: I've seen the pics of the V8V with the larger wheels but not the same on a DB9. Anyone have any?

The thread is debating a new style of 20 inch wheel available on the DBS compared to the previous wheels, also could-ish be fitted to V8.. for looks rather than function!
original DBS wheels..........
New optional design...............
I like both but prefer the newer cleaner design!!!

i am old school - i prefer the classic one
+1, but would also agree with Lucozade. Tampering with what already are great looking cars can quickly turn them into a mistake. Each model, Vantage, N400, DBS are all car pornography, but mixing and matching wheels, side skirts etc would be akin to messing with nature.Having said that, clear rear lights on a Vantage looks good...(have I just scored a home goal?)

I agree both look stunning on the car, the only downside on the originals must be cleaning in between the spokes, its hard enough on the Vantages sports pack wheel.... but then again if you buy a DBS maybe you get a personal cleaner thrown in?
The guy who looks after my cars is hilarious. It, quite genuinely, doesn't mean anything to him whether it's an Aston, Ferrari or Landie. He just walks round and then either says something like 'those wheels will be nice to clean' or 'that'll be a pig'. Sometimes I'm not sure he even KNOWS what make of car he's cleaning. If he approves of my latest toy it'll be purely because it's easy to clean. I'm getting another superbike this year - that'll teach him.XXXAngelXXX said:
Grant3 - honey - the DBS wheels don't need cleaning with the CCB brakes LOL ! they stay always clean !
Don't you have rain/snow/grit/mud etc in Germany then sweety pie? Mind you ceramics without brake dust is another reason to be tempted by a DBS

How the other half live, a professional car cleaner for the fleet, let me know the next time he's around & I'll pop over & park mine next to yours Edited by Grant3 on Tuesday 31st March 13:08
