I did mine a couple of weeks ago - so much better .... although I believe there may be a cooler of some sort behind the lower grille so the plate might be a bit low ....

Just to confirm, the lower grille has a cooler behind it which runs the full width of the grille ... I know that my dealer was wary about putting the plate too low in case it reduced the airflow significantly ....

exactly why you need a 3/4 plate, so its about a 1cm wider each side than the bit betweent the grille you stick it on smile

Did this to mine and just mounted the plate more centrally so it didnt cover the lower grille as much...

Dealer said the the plate box was conected to the airbags? is that right?

Not that I am aware of ... it is a plastic box with four ali bolts that screw in to an ali plate that fits behind the grille.

smile shows how much the dealers know about their own cars then !

If anything, its a 5mph impact bumper to meet US regulations of zero damage when bump parking up to 5mph
