Hello

Well, my homework is done, my mind is made up, I've sold my BMW and my Lotus and will reluctantly part with my Jaguar once I have found a replacement, so if anyone is selling or knows of someone selling their V8 Vantage then please do let me know.

The cash is in my hand and I'm ready to pounce as soon as possible.

Ideally I'm looking for an 05 or later with no more than 30,000 miles, full service history (AM if poss).

I live near Chichester, West Sussex but am very happy to travel for the right car.

Many thanks in advance

Yep... was in Harwoods again yesterday, they had a couple of V8 Vantages when I was in there a few weeks ago for about 49k but those have gone now.

Is it me or do prices seem to be creeping up a bit now as well? A few weeks ago I saw quite a few ads for 06 models with around 20k miles for around 39k - 42k but now I can't find much under 45k.

And yes I will post pics wink

Yep, prices are creeping up as used supplies are decreasing. Best to shop around, I didn't find Harwoods particualary helpful and bought from Lancaster Reading. It is worth shopping around the country and speaking to the AM Dealers.

I think you're right. Prices are almost certainly on the up.

I was looking a few months ago and saw prices for 20K mile 06 plates for £40-42K. Now they are definately around the £45K mark... I know because I've just bought one! The chap I bought from got his for the same price I'm paying back in November, although I'm getting £2000 worth of service and extended warranty with it.

I looked at quite a few before I committed and within a week of looking, most were snapped up by buyers. Demand is high, supply is not so high, that only means one thing to prices.

Excellent; are you enjoying the car? It's mandatory that you post some pics you know!

I think it is wise to buy the extended manufacturers warranty for an Aston more than 3 years old regardless of its mileage.

T'was indeed a fellow P'header.
He was sorry to be selling the Aston, but he's still got the, simply stunning, Tuscan 2 S for the weekends!
I'd have bought both if I could!

I'm waiting on the chap who's buying my RR Sport to sort the finance before I can pick up the Vantage... Pics will be forthcoming though!

Prices were definitely lower during Dec08/Jan09.

Prices dropped dramatically during the later end of last year.

My car lost £20k overnight.

Therefore I'm really pleased that prices have stabalized.

Back in Jan 09 could have bought an 08 Lambo Gallardo Spider with delivery miles for only £78k, that car was £150k new!

There is an AM V8 roadster currently advertied privatelly on Piston heads for around £72k, that car was available at a main dealer back in Jan '09 for £59.995!

Not sure of the lambo price being that low. Been keeping an eye on prices since december on a gallardo spyder. If it was that low in price, it had to be some one of colour combination?

Sadly the sale of mine has fallen through due to unforseen circumstances with the buyer.

I have put it back up in the clasifieds. Any questions please feel free to ask.

WOW! Rich, Have you got a link to where that was? I also saw the 07 Ex-Rod Stewart '07 Gallardo with 2200 miles sell for 78k too. (68+ buyer premium) Admittedly that was an awful baby blue colour but it cost 149k new and I've seen same year/colour with 6k miles now advertised for 95k.
