i prefer the am v8, but I think that it's just because the details work better on a short car with smaller overhangs.

These photographs were taken at the customer Atrium at the Gaydon factory. The colour is California Sage (an old colour from the sixties that has been resurrected - was never available on DB7 as a standard colour) and is dreadful. Much better in the silvers and greys.

It is a beautiful car and you appreciate it more when you see it in the flesh.

The front looks alright, but the back looks terrible.

The wheels seem too small and it seems to be sitting too high as well.

Looks like a step backwards to me.

The new DB9 and V8 are tough to choose between, since I think both are the two best designs out there in their type category. I just wrote a lengthy post on the design in the wrong thread ("Ordering a V8..."), but a few comments here that are factual. First, the DB9 weighs about 3650 pounds versus the 4300+ pounds of the outgoing DB7 Vantage 12. Second, while both DB7 and Vanquish have Ford bits inside, not the new V8 or DB9. The interiors are as bespoke and nice as anything Rolls-Bentley ever did and the best of the best in sports/GT-land today. Porsche's tacky plastic bits make my nose turn up and no one should have to buy 93 separate options to get the full leather that's better and stock on the V8 or DB9.

The light green color discussed has become popular from the James Bond Vanquish. Who cares what color it is, since Aston will paint one whatever PPG color you want from Ferrari Pozzi blue to Porsche Amaranth? The color has little to do with being able to see the beauty of their lines.

These are just the best... (with respect to the variety of perceptions different gene pools result in...)

Didn't think 007's Vaquish was California Sage? (not that it really matters, but wasn't it dark silver/grey?).

Personally, I'd have either a really dark BRG or Titanium.

At the end of the day, it's all down to personal choice (just that my personal choice would be better than anyone else's!!!)

Did Henrik Fisker design the DB9 I was talking to Ian Callum and he told me it was his design. I just don't like the tail.

It's been credited to Fisker, but you never know how far Ian Callum got before Henrik took over.
