Hard luck. it won't go on for ever though.Surprised to hear you had a problem with black/black - it seems to be a really popular combination.
This is a little boy with car brochure remark, so take it with a pinch of salt, but it always seems to me that if you were looking for a nice contrast leather finish for an Aston the Sandstorm is a little pale while the Kestrel Tan is a bit strong - and there's nothing in between as far as I can see. I seem to remember pressing my nose against showroom windows in the 60's and seeing many nice DB6's in both Silver Birch and Dubonnet Rosso with gorgeous light tan leather interiors that looked nothing like eith Sandstorm or Kestrel.
A supplementary - can you order Astons with the dash, instrument pod AND steering wheel in matching leather or do you have to have a black wheel? To me the black wheel looks as if you have had an accident and the wheel has been replaced with one of the wrong colour. If the whole dash top is black no doubt you wouldn't get this effect.

Continentals. Why go to so much trouble to create fantastic leather interiors and then cock it up with a black wheel - the answer I suppose is to save a few hundred quid for the manufacturer.

Good point about black steering wheels - I noticed the problem when looking at the older Bentley

hartley, you can choose a two-tone steering wheel but I declined based on a previous experience of a cream (Ecru) on a BMW. I had the car for four years but needed to replace the steering wheel after 18 months due to its grubby look. My advice is be careful what you choose for the steering wheel if indeed you do go to a light colour such as sandstone....the steering wheel will have your hands on it, continuously, and sweaty palms have a habit of destroying the finish of the leather. Trust me, it was nothing to do with saving a few quid Continentals. Yes, Chim, that is one solution, and it does look fantastic. Well done.
On the light leather, I understand the problem, but am I the only person in the UK who still wears string back driving gloves, which solve said problem? If you like Porsche interiors, the wheel is always colour coded, and it succeeds.
