firstly which Aston have you got,
for a Vantage here is battery reset procedure, http://www.derbymotorservices.com/faq/questions/16...
i have not uploaded the procedure for the DB9 but will on monday, with the DB9 in the boot on the right hand side there is an oval black cover which you can open, inside this you will see the battery disconnect switch, press this, then behind the drivers seat pull off the rear passenger seat base, it is just held in with velcro, in the middle of the panel you will see a hole with a yellow button, this is the reconnect switch press this, then seat should work normally,
then do not forget to carry out a window reset details here http://www.derbymotorservices.com/faq/questions/9/...

Right found the battery disconnect switch in the boot pressed that and there was a little noise. Then took off the rear seat (behind the driver’s seat) and all there is there is a metal plate. There is absolutely no hole and no yellow button. I've taken a picture and I'll try and upload that later. I'm getting really really annoyed with bloody Aston's, why can't the build a car that has decent electronics. It's a shame really because when it works it's brilliant but seriously how temperamental these things are is more than enough to put me off having another one.Lambo, the seat reset procedure changed around 2008, so if you have a later model, try this.
All the way forward, then the seat base all the way up, both motors,
Then the back rest, all the way forward untill it goes no further. That should cure it.
Also the battery reset button was deleted at this time, to reset, it's by turning on the ignition. hope this helps..

I have a 2005 DB9 and was trying to reset the seat positions as the passenger seat had stopped working.
I found a reset procedure on another forum, which was to wind both seats fully forwards, then backwards, then tilt the seat backs fully forwards and backwards.
Somebody else recommended to press the battery disconnect switch, which I did, but when I came to try to reconnect the battery, I found that the front seats are still flat down, preventing me from lifting the rear seat pad to press the battery reconnect switch. How can I power up the car so I can move the seat and press the reconnect switch?
My whole car is disabled at the moment, I cannot do anything with it.

Tim, tried it but no luck. In the end, I connected battery jump cables from my other car to the battery positive point under the bonnet, which powered up the car and let me adjust the seat out of the way so I could get access to the reset switch under the back seat..
However, now the tyre pressure monitor is registering a fault and all the lights on the unit in the boot are flashing, which it wasn't previously. The passenger seat-back adjustment is still dodgy (you have to keep hitting the button many many times to move the seat-back, each time you get 1mm of movement then it stops.

Occasionally the seats need resetting, which is disconcerting as you need to move all the way up all the way towards the dash, the back all the way towards the dash- everything up and forward. Dont panic thinking you will make it worse / un-drivable (seat too far forward), it does work.
Sounds like you have battery problem though. If its not been replaced before, its probably due a new one. Can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.
my db9 battery had died and both my seats were not moving backwards after I replaced my battery...I was about to order new boards for the seats until I read your recommendation...I tried it and it worked perfectly: I simply pressed all the seat buttons up and forward and also the back control forward all the way to the dash....pressing all these buttons at the same time up/forward for about 30 seconds...even after reaching the dash....it is so easy to panic thinking you will make it a lot worse....it was magic...the seat controls are back to normal....thank you so much to all.
