An excellent question! I think there should be and then there could be an annual meet!

Don't think there will be many attending.

The word mug certaintly does spring to mind, and it most certainly devalues the brand. Its not an aston martin! Its a toyota IQ, and the IQ's look better anyway. It looks like a photoshopped characture of an Aston Martin. You'd have to be a fool with more money than sense to buy one for anyone!. Buy the IQ and not be laughed at by everyone you drive past. Personally, i'd much rather have a Brabus smart than this atrocity, the Brabus gives a more positive image of yourself and less people will think you're jumped up tt.

100% agree that the Cygnet will devalue the brand. Just picture the people walking around stating they 'own an Aston Martin', only to find it is a Cygnet.

Disgusting car, disgusting price!

The £50k is for some sort Limited Edition one.

Apparantly, the Europeans are loving it and the dealers have plenty of orders, just seems to be the Brits having a hissy fit smile

I am surprised at the venom from Aston Martin owners and fans. I only gave an opinion, and didn't expect to be ridiculed and abused.

This has made me reconsider my imminent Aston Martin Vantage purchase, as I do not want to be associated with this mindset. I guess its a Maserati Granturismo instead.

By the way, did the Fiat parent company selling the 500 devalue Ferrari or Maserati?

No.
And it has helped to keep the parent company afloat.

I wonder if Aston Martin will survive with only their "upper end" segment cars?

Interesting question. Possibly not.

Probably not with the destruction of the brand (the only thing left now they've disowned the heritage cherished by old dinosaurs like me) that the Cygnet brings.

Agree with all the sentiments on this thread this cygnet thing is an absolute joke.

First of all there's the pricing, anyone actually looking for a 'city run about' must be out of there mind to spend the reported £30,000-£50,000 pounds on one. For that kind of money and a lot less you could get a number of cars that are respectable and probably wont cause people to laugh at you in the street. At that money you could even buy another Aston!

Then there's the stigma attached with having a cygnet. Imagine turning up in one somewhere and while everyone thinks what a ... Your trying to tell everyone that you have a real Aston at home! (If they only sell it to existing or future Aston owners that is)

Just an overall terrible idea

The 500 is a Fiat, and it's badged a Fiat (even the tribute-to-Ferrari version). Neither 500 has ANY bearing on keeping Ferrari afloat.

Come on, not buying a car because of a post that isn't even related to the car you are thinking of buying, plus taking someones personal opinion that seriously? Bit stupid really.

Get your V12V or V8V and stop moaning!

Just got back from the Geneva motor show. I would like to report good news from the Aston stand but sadly the Cygnet was on it and I promptly puked all over it much to the chargrin of the the suits standing around who I moonied at for good measure. I would have taken a dump on it but I think the Swiss would have found that somehow objectionable.

It looks worse in the flesh than it does in pictures guys. I do not believe anyone will buy this piece of crap.
