Toying with Quantum Silver (obsidian black inside), Midnight Blue (caspian inside) or Onyx Black (obsidian black inside). Any views on this? I've been told by a couple of dealers that midnight blue generally will be harder to resell and may trade at a slight discount. black looks beautiful but hard to clean...

imho Onyx (Bitter Chocolate) looked fantastic on my last DB9 , but only when just washed. My current DB9 in Casino Royale(Obsidian with contrast stitch) (lighter than Quantum) looks superb all the time.

With the abundance of grey coloured cars, I doubt you'll be able to sell it with a premium.

I'd go for the blue from your choice of 3, and although I don't fancy most green colours (Verde Ithaca on a Lambo is the exception), I would probably get any aston in that green Aston colour (no idea what it's called). It just suits the general Aston design, and it's rare.

If is a car to sell on get a grey, silver or black for safety, if you want to keep it for a while and are a traditionalist then Almond Green is hard to beat..IMO

I would go for Quantum Silver, if ordering new. I have Meteorite which is similar, but Quantum is more interesting with a variety of colours in the pearl that give it that bit extra. Onyx Black looks great when it is clean, but looks dirty very quickly.

Agree entirely, to buy a car in a particular colour because in future someone else will like it is daft in my view. Spend your money on the colour you prefer, all the dealer is doing is looking after himself for the future.

I also have Onyx Black and yes it does look lovely, its only really when clean. It also shows up bodywork defects which does detract a little. I am considering going for a DBS and Quantum Silver, Meteorite and Casino are the 3 that stand out. Having seen a v12 vantage in Quantum recently, without a doubt that would be the colour for my next car. Im just going to struggle to find a manual DBS in Quantum without going new.

that is a gorgeous colour but i suspect the chance of tracking that down in a 4.7 model on the used market nigh on impossible and the lack of dealer discount on buying to spec makes it a costly proposition. beautiful though

Couldn't agree more! Mines yellow. I like it and that's more important than how easy or not it will be to sell when the time comes. And others do like the colour, just not as many as would buy the 'standard' colours.

If i ever get in the position to buy such a car worrying about losing an extra 5k on trade in for a colour i really wanted would not really come into my mind.

It again depends on you, what i notice with aston and bentley is these cars are quite reserved (if you want to be noticed buy a lamborghini) but if it was me i would copy steve b...........amazing

I dont think the colour is even worth that much ...it just takes longer to sell a car thats not silver or black ....just buy whatever you like

I always have black cars, as I cant be arsed making my mind up on colours LOL wink

..oh..yes they are harder to keep clean, but you just accept it after a while ...
